is the failing mayor McC going to look into his assessor's office and all the massive mistakes?

When is he going to eliminate Ely's STAR exemption since the guy has not lived even in the state since summer 2010?

When is McC going to start having the assessor do a thorough review and verify eligibility of all STAR exemptions?

When is McC going to do a citywide reassessment (downward)?

ROFL!!!!!     When is the governor going to look into the massive mistakes in the city of Schenectady's assessment office?

When is someone going to get rid of the assessment board people and appoint people who will made fair decisions based on evidence rather than just deny everyone because the dem part in the city is too chicken to admit that everything they do is a failure, including that massive wasted of hundreds of millions of dollars of taxpayer money on downtown, a downtown which is quickly bringing the city down and causing it to be a ghost town as people are fleeing in droves, property values tanking, and no one wants to buy a house in the city.

For the benefit of the people of the city, pass the word, they have a right guaranteed to them by state law to have an informal meeting with the assessor personally to discuss their over-assessment.

Such a meeting should be requested at the earliest part of the calendar year, i.e., January, to avoid the rush of people filing for the STAR exemptions, of course they may not have many people applying for STAR because people simply are not buying houses in the city.

Homeowners should really demand what they have the entitlement to by law, have that informal meeting, show the evidence of sales prices, typically the items brought to the BOA grievances, and let the assessor explain why houses need to be assessed at, say, $90,000 when they are only selling for, say, $50,000.   See if the assessor can bring it down before the tentative roll even comes out.

I asked for an informal review last year and Tina said I'm so new here and getting organized (lol HAHAHA) that she wasn't going to do informal reviews
until next year, which would be this year, we shall see.

Anything on Morris's STAR?  Did they correct that "error"

Perhaps the "error" was corrected, BUT did he pay back that which he was not entitled to?   The taxpayers have a BIRTHRIGHT ENTITLEMENT to see the documentation proving he paid it back.   Oh, but there will be some money paid out of petty cash of the county coffers to add to his salary to cover the cost of his increased tax bill.

He should be writing out a check to the state of NY because the state has already paid the city school district  for the money not collected.
