WHITE CHRISTMAS - has a ring to it. There are loads of memories people of my generation have about Christmas Past. Good, bad, happy, sad, the entire range of human emotions. My fondest memory is walking to Midnight Mass in a cold light snow snowfall, about 25 degrees. This is the experience of a person born the North East. Political correctness is wiping out memories of Christmas Past for people born after the post WWII baby boom. As a boomer, I had the best America could offer. Ones economic standing was immaterial, we had hope, we had Christmas, we had God. God is on 'his' way out. We have a new god, our "lord & savior", President Barack Obama. That would be funny if it were not pathetic. Before a nation self destructs it loses its mind (moral compass). America is in this process & we are falling fast. Global Warming is taking away White Christmases' & fur trees. The snow & trees can go but when God is removed from the formula it is all over. "I'm dreaming of a White Christmas" is more than a song.  |
