Schenectady finance commissioner to resign

SCHENECTADY — Schenectady’s finance commissioner is leaving her position.

Finance Commissioner Ismat Alam, who was criticized by the City Council for padding the 2013 proposed budget, said she will resign on Jan. 24.

She will become the chief finance officer for Proctors, a newly created position, she said.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  

Damn you beat me to it.   And the subject line was going to be "Allah is leaving" or "Mote COLLUSION between city and Proctors."

DV, you really have a lot of sh*t on your nose.


How about Cuthbert being retired and placed in the director job, he's the one who truly serves the taxpayers, present the facts to the taxpayers instead of keeping secrets. the taxpayers have a birthright entitlement to know all the details about the city's spending.

At least Cuthebert would not lie to the taxpayers, he wouldn't fudge numbers the way the dem team has done.   Isn't that right DV aka Glry?

Morris would not disclose Alam's salary for the new CFO job, but it will be more than the $96,445 Alam she currently makes. The CFO will have added responsibilities that the finance director didn't, such as overseeing information technology, Morris said.

I believe that morris HAS to disclose Allah's salary since they are a not for profit and taxpayer supported....yes?

Maybe Ismat was more like Cuthbert than you think.  There are different ways out of crappy situations.  Jason took the harder route.
