SCHENECTADY, N.Y – A 14-year-old boy required surgery for head injuries after being attacked at an intersection in Schenectady Sunday.

According to Schenectady PD spokesperson Sgt. Matt Dearing, the boy was attacked Sunday morning at the intersection of Congress and Sixth Avenue.

They report that more than one attacker was involved.

The victim is currently at Albany Med, no word on his current condition.

No arrests have been made at this time.

Not sure if this is one of the calls we heard on the scanner, this kid may have been knocked unconscious. Busy section over that way, Congress, Cutler, all those associated streets. Another Sunday in the big city

Some lady wrote on the local stations website that the teen and others were involved in a long standing dispute and people blasted her.

If it was a "normal" one on one fight with a kid his own age well that happens.

But more than one attacker and older, the kid never stood a chance.

The bastar*s probably have it up on utube allready.

Hope he fully recovers  and they catch all invovled and throw the book at them.

Should be easy to find since these dogs must be licensed.....yes?
The postal workers should know as well.....yes?

ROFL.   Does this mayor make sure all dogs are licensed?   Are you kidding, he cares NOTHING about the residents in the city, all he cares about his his dem political cronies and downtown.  

Why doesn't the mayor move into downtown, in one of those apartments?  

What is the current occupancy rate of those new apartments downtown?   Perhaps DV will answer this question, oh, but he will NOT provide any evidence whatsoever.

Now, pit-bulls?   Gee, was this well documented in the reports?   Is it possible it was the Mont Pleasant neighborhood pits that were ordered to move to Schenectady?

I read a comment from a neighbor in that area stating on a social media site (maybe same woman?) stating that this dispute had been going on for a long time and that even the parents had been involved--she didn't state if the parents were trying to deescalate things or if they were instigating the matter.
