I think the SA Thrift Store is now closed, so where are places to drop off clothing?  (Where I can get a tax receipt, as opposed to one of the donation bins that are now be seen every other block)

There is a SA store in Glenville on rt. 50, after Hannaford and right before Price Chopper.

Yeah I've seen that before but was a little confused...  I think there was a sign out front that says "donations in the back" or something, but I didn't recall seeing a public entrance in the back.

I've taken things to the Goodwill at Hannaford Plaza and they have a large door that opens to accept items and they will come out to your car and take them inside. I think they just don't want things coming in the front door and there is a storage room in back as well.

What about the City Mission, I knnow my Dad has brought items there in the past and gotten reciepts.




Clothing/Thrift & Distribution Center

Thrift Store, located at 416 Saratoga Rd. (Route 50), Glenville, sells furniture, clothing, housewares, shoes, books, and a variety of other items to support the ministries of the Mission. Gift certificates are made available for those in need.

18,000 sq. ft. Distribution Center processes donated items, as well as providing vocational training and employment opportunities.

Donated items are processed for use in Community Outreach, the Thrift Store and clothing repurpose/reuse operation.

I took men's clothing to the Ingersoll Home on Consaul road and they were actually happy to get it. The old gents often have no family and little money to buy clothes
