THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!

Every Thanksgiving Day I am every so thankful that I neither live in the city nor own any property there.  And I pray to God that we in the towns NEVER are consolidated with that failing city

Something as important as the budget and it's going to be done behind closed doors!

This city is done, change will come only after we hit rock bottom.

Unfortunately the nayboobs continue to LIE -- and to create issues where there are NO issues.

Lie, DV?   You claim we lie?   I think you better go back to school and learn how to read.   YOUR BUDDY the mayor has announced that the next budget meeting stuff WILL take place BEHIND CLOSED DOORS, that means IN SECRET.

You think that's not an issue?   Of course, you are NOT a taxpayer so you have no understanding.   The taxpayers have a right to have ANY AND ALL city meetings open to them in public!!!!!!!!!!!    Discussions of the budget, meaning the taxes, must NEVER be held in secret where the taxpayers cannot see and hear the discussions.   but of course, DV, the big supporter of the mayor, yet DV REFUSES to live IN the city, doesn't understand that discussions about the use of taxpayer money MUST be discussed out in the open where ALL taxpayers can hear it.   These are not claims against the city, and even dicussions of claims against the city should be held in public rather than executive session because the taxpayers have a birthright entitlement to know what the city is doing wrong that causes someone to have a claim against it, AND the taxpayers have a birthright entitlement to know to the details of the claims and how much things will cost the taxpayers.

So, DV, care to tell us when you are going to move INTO the city?   Maybe we should ask IF you are EVER going to move INTO the city.    That'll be the day DV ever grows up and becomes a man and lives on his own and supports himself

NEWSFLASH- You hit rock bottom. The City cannot even pay it's school taxes, County taxes and is currently foreclosing on over 700 properties.
Meanwhile horrible McCheese VETOES the DEM Councils budget. For reasons unknown. Tax increase too low-no? The only hope is a State Control Board.
Clear all the DEM lobs and half wits out of City Hall. Another Camden. Another Scranton. A DEM fiscal disaster with voters too brain dead to dump any corrupt DEM incompetents.

It's not an issue when an elected councilman is barred from a City meeting? According to YNN the entire Council except Vince Riggi is meeting right now
behind closed doors at City Hall.

This is BS. Those of us who voted V. Riggi in are NOT being represented. Wish we  knew ahead of time about the caucus, wish alot of people could have gone to city hall and demanded VR be in the meeting.

So, what does Ron Severson, of the Rotterdam planning group, aka DVOR aka Glry aka Ham aka Scots, etc, the biggest supporter of Gary McCarthy and the city have to say about this?

A council caucus meeting held without the full council AND held WITHOUT announcing it to the taxpayers!

Can DV tell us if that is the way government should work?

If they feel their grip is tenuous, they will turn the cops loose on people soon. Bobby Hamilton will oblige.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

the closed door meeting is a bad idea. I think R. Riggi hits the nail onthe head - his constituents have a right ti be
represented because they are using taxpayer money.

really shameful and arrogant.

and it is foolish because if they do not agree with him they have enough votes to override.

Question - by excluding the other party - are you not becoming something other than a true democracy

the question is not whetherbis it legal to do it but is it the right thing to do.  I dont see how you can argue
excluding Mr. Riggi isvthe right thing to do by Schenectady
