Since F.E.M.A. seems to get in the way of itself and others, my guess is that the recovery would be doing quite well WITH OUT  F.E.M.A.     There are so many non-governmental entities from Red Cross to Catholic Charities that do quite well bringing relief to people in natural disaster areas -- and they do it much better and more cost effectively than F.E.M.A.

Now, will you admit that the private sector will fix Schenectady and do it much better and more cost effectively than with the dems in the city & county who are FAILING at bringing the city back with tax dollars.   STOP THE TAX EXEMPTIONS FOR THE DEM POLITICAL CRONIES.

Are you willing to state that non-governmental entities will do a much better job of fixing Schenectady?

No comment, huh?

How about the homeowners in Schenectady have run out of money!

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

Here is a better idea...take care of yourselves instead of relying on the government. Once again even though they had plenty of warnings and time people didn't take precautions and now they're crying that the government isn't doing enough fast enough.

What precautions?  What would the people of Rotterdam Junction done to prevent the flood damage
to their homes.
Sandy put water over a 100 year record... what should people who live in areas that were never flooded
before do, to "take precautions".

Bumble is sitting at the computer and a tornado touches down and wipes out his entire community...
it's all gone.  Schools, churches, police, fire protection, bridges blown off their supports, fires raged out of
control for a day.

OK Bumbler... your job is gone, your home is gone, your car is gone, your clothes, food, water, all gone
Fix it yourself.  Don't be one of those BIG GOVERNMENT people you always whine about...
YOU FIX IT.
Remember... " Bad things happen every single day!"  Your kids have no food but YOU HAVE TO FIX THAT,
NOT GOVT ALMIGHTY.
You have no job, it was destroyed in the storm... YOU HAVE TO FIX THAT, NOT GOVT ALMIGHTY.'
Your entire family has no clothes...YOU HAVE TO FIX THAT, NOT GOVT ALMIGHTY.'

My guess?  Bumbler would be first in line screaming for a 'handout' from GOVT ALMIGHTY, and complaining
that it took to long to get here.

In fact the government actually made the flood worse for the residents of the junction by not raising the flood gates on the locks. Yea government.

12 years of school, followed by 4 years of college... (much of it GUBERMINT funded) and that's
the best he can do.     What a waste of taxpayer dollars!

who knows...NYC and down state wanted to make sure they had power down there and left the water high for such
choice.....

precaution....GET THE HELL OUT....

gingerly holding THINGS in this world make one much less burdened.....

after working in a nursing home those aged folk have taught me a GREAT lesson, even without saying anything....
the crap we collect means SH!T!!!!  except to their kids who think it would make a great memorial in the parlor...
not to mention the all time FAVORITE saying "all their money is spent here." BULLETIN----IT IS THEIR $ FOR THEIR
CARE....NOT YOURS.....because if you wanted it that bad, YOU would have worked for it and done the stuff the home
does....

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Senders has no clue.

His "the Crap They Collect" ... lost in Hurricane Irene... like a bed, a bedroom to put it in, a stove, a kitchen
to cook on the stove in, clothes, a washer to clean those clothes  etc.

Have flood insurance, if you live in a low lying area it should be no surprise water will gather there first. Some problems can't be avoided but many people don't even try to look ahead to help themselves. As you see many people are getting pissed at the government for not doing enough, these people expected the government to be ready and to make everything better. When will people learn that the government isn't the answer and they will always be let down. Imagine what would happen if a serious disaster took place that effected 20% of Americans, 90% wouldn't survive and people would tear each other apart.

I'm sure that's how you see it Henry...

Or...

The 80% of Americans unaffected by the disaster pull together to help the victims of the disaster to
regain their lives and rebuild their neighborhoods.

You see yourself as a "ME".  I see myself as a "WE".

I see myself as someone who, like the American native Indians who lived there for several thousands of years- doesn't want to live in a tidal swamp or on the banks of a tidal estuary connected to a 10,000 square mile watershed.

White man with liberal vision= DUMB

Nature didn't begin in the industrial age.

Don't be dumb. Live on high ground. Live like Indians.

We can pontificate about 'we' and cut and paste all day. However, this was coming, it happened before.
