If Patierne wins things will get interesting.  When was the last time theer was more than one Republican on the Council?

Two Republicans would make the next Mayoral election very interesting.

There isn't a Republican on the Council. He's a member of the 'Alliance Party' or whatever

OK, but it will be two non Democrats.

Again, when was the last time there was two or more Repubs or other non Dems on the Council?

Was it Jurczyski and Duci or Jurczylski and Lewis? Or was it further back than that?

Anyone but Marion! The fact that REP/CONS/IND have all united to work for Rich Patierne and to remove this horrible McCheese stooge is a hopeful development.
Riggi needs help and he did offer a opposition budget to the padded DEM disgrace.

SCHENECTADY, NY – On Sunday Republican Rich Patierne announced his candidacy for a position on the Schenectady City Council.

Before a crowd of family, friends, and supporters, Patierne stepped up to the plate for Schenectady taxpayers by announcing he'll run for a seat on the City Council this November.

Patierne believes the city is in financial trouble and says his main concern is the city's finances. He unveiled his nine point plan to stabilize city taxes and steps the city should take to reduce expenses next year. He also revealed options to avoid layoffs or huge tax increases in 2013.

Patierne says he decided to run for City Council because the mayor and members of the council don't seem concerned that Schenectady's finances are in such terrible shape. "

WOW! A man with a PLAN....a BRAIN....and EXPERIENCE in finance. This is just the type of person the taxpayers of this City need in order to salvage what little is left. McCheesy wouldn't know what hit him! Can't fire him like Cuthbert.

He and Vince are the catalyst for change. If you don't vote Patierne, might as well flee now.

And Marion Porterhouse  believes in "the importance of high taxes". She voted against affirmative action laws and to keep County sales tax revenues at 1990 levels.
The last thing the pathetic City Council needs is yet another McCheese stooge.

According to my spies even DEMS know that Marion is in deep trouble. She voted to screw every City property owner for the next 12 years by keeping the current sales tax ripoff. Jason
Cuthbert's firing did not register on this DEM stooge. Dump one McCheese stooge tomorrow and 3 more next year. Then it will get real interesting.

More than one non-Democrat on the Council might actually be the saving grace of this City.

No more blind passing of budgets without discussion.

No more rubber stamping every proposal which is bleeding the taxpayers dry.

No more idiots without a clue how to use a spreadsheet.

Sincerely, Patierne is the only one with a clue. If he's not elected over a person who is NOT even a taxpayer in this City....well, that's just sad.

It's a start but not a majority. McCheese and his DEM stooges will have 4 votes. Marion Porterhouse has total contempt for any business or taxpayer. She must go now.
Patierne is a Linton High Grad and community leader.

The smattering of nayboob votes is NOT enough to elect a trouble-maker into office...... I predict the wonderful Ms. Porterfield will sweep into office with a resounding majority -- sending the GOP nayboob OUT the door to land soundly on his behind in the mud. While in the mud he can mate with the He/She monkey and have many he/she baby piglets.

Well, when you don't pay City taxes and have the ability to live elsewhere ...that's pretty wonderful.

As for us folk who actually PAY CITY TAXES and can't stand the influx of brain-dead, sheep-following City Council members...well, wonderful isn't in the equation.

Marion does NOT have the expertise Patierne has in all things financial. Patierne has IDEAS, PLANS, FINANCIAL GOALS...Marion...well, she lives with her mom.

I think Patierne is going to win this election.

Not weighing in on the merits either way - but, I think he has a larger base than people realize.

Heavy turnout on Northside and High School-Patierne Country. Hopeful some got a wake up call with the DEM $5 MILLION deficit.
    Dump Marion-McCheese's City Council stooge.
