They were working on a fix. Now they are goin to require a digital box for even people with standard cable to receive any channels at all. I really loathe that company now.

It's just a cable modem. Walmart has them for $54. On Ebay, they're less than $30.

Time warner must approve your modem before you can use it. They are very particular what type you can use.

I just called tw and was on hold for THIRTY-FIVE MINUTES!!!!!

Got my bill and it was for TWO MONTHS!! They said they never received my check...bull crap! Every check we mailed out that day cleared at our bank....EXCEPT...the tw check!! They also changed our account number. They told me that because of their merger in the northeast ALL account numbers were changed. They said to put a stop payment on my check and send in my TWO MONTH payment. So we have to pay, out of our pockets, for a stop payment on that check.

I read them the riot act about the THIRTY-FIVE MINUTE wait and told them that they SUCK!!! They said that they are 'short handed'.......DUH!!!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

Time warner pulled this on everyone.

They sent me an email saying my September bill would have a new account number.

It did not. It had the same account number. I paid the bill using Sunmark FCU online banking which is totally free.

I called them and they issued a free stop payment and sent the 2 payments to the new account number.

Time Warner blamed me for not using the new account number that they never sent.

Then they sent me a disconnect notice.

I congratulated them for being more incompetent than ever.

Tw northeast isn't short handed. The fact that when we used to take just Albany area calls, our customers got through within 1-2 minutes- if we were busy. Then they made us take syracuse, portland, buffalo out of the blue as well, and there ou have it with the extreme call times. Shortly after they made up bulls@&! Reasons and fired a bunch of us on Highbridge road. The company sucks. Now they pay me to sit home and look for a job I actually want.

A new account number explains a lot.. I got the same disconnect letter about 10 days ago, so I immediately paid the balance not knowing that the account number had changed...I use epay with First New York FCU.. Well, since I did have the account number wrong, not only did TWC not get paid, First New York's ridiculous bill pay software paid the amount to my national grid account INSTEAD!!! I got my national grid bill yesterday and it had a $34 CREDIT, that's how I knew something was wrong.
I just paid my TWC bill via debit card.
I only have TWC for internet and phone as I dropped them for Direct TV a few months ago. I'll be getting OOMA phone in a month or so and dropping their phone service as well.

Say you want sales when you call and you get reps a lot quicker. Customer service takes all cals for eveything, hence the long que. sales only takes sales calls. So you will get someone quicker.

I just looked, and Motorolas are also readily available as well.
They too, will cost you less than you'll pay TW for leasing one, even for just a few months.
Get the model number off your modem. I'll find you one for less than 30 or 40 bucks.
They aren't exactly some rare "boutique" item.
