Two Schenectady County COs punished for apple throwing incident at jailBy Paul Nelson

SCHENECTADY — A correction officer has been disciplined for hurling apples from the roof of the county jail at a fellow guard supervising inmates in a fenced-in recreation area below, according to people familiar with the incident.
It does not appear that Joshua Sabatini was targeting the prisoners — who are behind bars in sex-crime cases — but was instead having some workplace fun with his co-worker and good friend, Richard Cellini, on the evening of Sept. 27. Apples that struck the fencing trickled inside the recreational area.

people in law enforcement are not perfect ....some are chosen unfairly....family to family....it seems we care not getting the better crop of
citizens for these jobs......and the city police dept is another example...
enuf about these immature officers.....they don't belong there.

The truth is.............folks are just plain sick and tired of not getting the police attention/protection they are so lavishly paying for, and yet read how these well paid law enforcement folks are behaving badly!! It's that gift that keeps on giving!!! I'm sure their 'commander and chief' had NO idea that the employees he supervises were capable of this sh!t. Ya....right!  |

Those who act out have been removed from the agency.
Back then, one could argue that management did not deal with that type of event effectively. Now, that is not the case. |
