Let's see if any cheerleaders for the city and the dems decide to buy

SCHENECTADY — Independent bookseller Janet Hutchison survived the onslaught of chain bookstores and Walmart, the advent of e-books and the brutal price advantage of online seller Amazon.

But she could not hold back the advancing years.

"I've reached a certain age. It's time," said Hutchison, 67, owner of The Open Door Bookstore on Jay Street. I hope she does find a buyer. Open-door has been one of the only good things about downtown for a long time and one of the few reasons I myself ever go down there even now.  It's always been part of "date" days with my kids.

She should clearly have no problem finding a buyer since the business has a long standing record of success......yes?

Actually.....she probably has or had a buyer as I'm sure she didn't decide to retire yesterday.....yes?

Everyone should be biting at the bit to obtain that business since it is so successful.

Will she also give up her seats on the Metrograft/DSIC boreds? Watch her pull a Karen Johnson and hang
on for dear life. Did a great job of preventing any competition the Obama way.
