Renaissance is rolling so much money into the coffers we have to override the tax cap at the county level.
Oh wait I forgot, it's going to take time to turn us around. How long has it been now?

Furthermore, I may add --- that the nayboobs are nothing more than terrorists that should be rounded up and imprisoned for slander and libel against the fine people who have worked overtime to make this Renaissance POSSIBLE!

Lay off the bath salts.

we used to be a city that lites and hauls the world....now it iseems that we try to "haul" folks downtown to obesity...or to fatten

the pockets of government...

as many as the bookies want

Slander?   Libel?    Hardly!   How about the TRUTH, with EVIDENCE to support it.

How about "YOUR" fine people who "worked" to:

- DESTROY the tax base
- Put residents' lives in jeopardy
- Prohibit people from leaving the city
- Keep others out of the city
- Lavish riches upon the political cronies

SAME AS COMMUNISM.   Your "fine people" have built an invisible "Berlin Wall" around the city.

No one can leave (because they can't sell their houses).
No one can come into the city (because they couldn't remotely afford the taxes)
Lives are in danger (just like the people who were in East Berlin)
And just like among the communists, the party cronies lavished in the riches

Very appropriate analogy

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
