Sunday I attended St. Adalbert's Church festival off of Crane Street.  Crane Street is a disaster.  Walking up Crane to parking lot I encountered non existent sidewalks.  A dog came flying out of a gangway, a pit bull, he looked ill.

First the dog, I guess the dog laws are not enforced on Crane Street.  The sidewalk, I hear of citations being mailed to people because their lawns have not been mowed.  Is city haul afraid to go after errant home owners on Crane?  The game plan is, mail citations to responsible home owners, get them to comply or fine them.  The people not keeping their property up for whatever reason get a pass.  The debris in street or gangway's is something to behold.  Third world!

In other parts of America insurance companies will not insure homes if in a certain rundown condition.  Either these properties are not insured or the insurance companies are fools.  'Responsible' home owners in Schenectady have told me that the people not obeying the law are not being pursued.  City haul takes the line of least resistance when it comes to enforcement of codes.

Imagine if the police officer (s) who followed the young man around city haul before he was fired for outing budget high jinks were assigned to Crane Street to enforce leash laws & building codes?  Such is the waste & mismanagement of Schenectady.

People paying property & school taxes not only support government they support the people not paying their fair share.  Thee city adds insult to injury by holding responsible home owners to a higher standard.

A tax payer organization needs to be formed, the purpose is to withhold tax payments to City Of Schenectady, placing money in protected account.   Let the city collect taxes from those who do not pay & make same fix their properties.  Then release money to city.  The City Of Schenectady is a vampire sucking the lifeblood out of responsible residents, in time for Halloween.  Trick or treat citizens of Schenectady.

I hope animal control picks up the sick pit bull, I fear he will die in a gangway on Crane Street before he gets an opportunity to bite someone.

Patches is right, don't let the poor animal suffer! Better than animal control, call the Sch'dy SPCA at 755-9517.

They are great and respond very quickly, a very caring and dedicated team from what I can tell with my experience reporting
abuse.

The call is confidential. You typically have to leave a message but they will repond and investigate quicker than animal control.
Please call them!

Should non human humnans be exterminated.  Kill them with your words then when you remove their bodies who will protest?

Not on this board that is for sure.

CALL WHO.

Did go over and get the address where you saw the abused dog? Did you call? If you are afraid, then just get the address and
I will call SPCA.

Doing nothing makes you just as much a scum as the abusers. Does anyone know who this "Ira" is? Surely someone must know.

If you are not going to take any action to help then perhaps Admin will give up your IP to the SPCA authorities so that
you can be located and the authorities can then find out the pertinent info from you. They then should also prosecute you for
failure to report known abuse.

I think I will just forward this thread to them and get things rolling since, Ira, you don't seem to be concerned at all. Shame on
you.

Please let me know what I need to do.

A dog in need is an emergency... a child in need is "an entitlement" that should be eliminated.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

You are a very good American Nazi Ididntdoit...

Did you know what one of the biggest crimes in Nazi Germany was?  Not reporting your neighbor to the "authorities" if you think they are breaking the law.  That's an old Gestapo tactic to pit neighbor against neighbor.

I'm not a big fan of Ira, but making a person a criminal for not turning in their neighbor to the police is a little scary.

Ididntdoit, to advocate criminal punishment for a post on a message board is not just a shame but an insight to your authoritarian tendencies.  My guess is, if this was a forum in 1939 Germany and you discovered a forum member was Jewish, you would forward a copy of this message board to the proper "authorities" like a good little Nazi, because if the Gestapo found out you knew, you would be in violation of the law too.

If I were the administrator, I would delete Ididntdoit's membership for intimidating a person's right to free speech by threatening to turn them into the police.

A nazi I am not, don't be RIDICULOUS. And what about my right to free speech Cicero?

I'm simply a compassionate person who does not believe in cruelty, in the suffering of a living creature. Is that a belief you ascribe to or is it just typical ghetto "no snitching" beliefs?

You think an animal being neglected should be ignored? What about elder and child abuse? Should we ignore that too? Should
we report it, when you become infirm, and someone neglects you?  You are just as bad as Ira, defending his deplorable
behavior is eggregious.

Put on your big boy pants Ira. Come on, you can do it. You really suck if you don't. No better than the animals (the human ones).  People like you make me sick.

Your right to free speech by threatening a person with the "authorities" because you didn't agree with Ira's speech?  Yeah, you're a real champion of liberty.

You are such a compassionate person that you threatened to drag a person through the legal system because he didn't respond the way you EXPECT him to respond to a stray dog.

Do you stand outside of slaughter houses threatening the workers too, or are the legal threats only for domesticated "living creatures"?
