What people generally don't know is that Gary McCarthy was instrumental as President of SACC-TV in firing John Harnden and his crew.
What people don't know is that Gary McCarthy maliciously accused Harnden of fraud.
People don't know that McCarthy has a personal thing against Harnden and Harnden is the founder of Edison Tech Center.

There's a whole lot more to this people. And if McCarthy's Gazette had any kind of unbiased reporting, they'd report the facts. Not the fiction as McCarthy tells it.

The Edison Center did a tremendous job collecting priceless artifacts from Schenectady's industrial past and does a great job preserving and making them accessible for folks to view and learn about that important part of our community's history.  The Edison Center must NOT be allowed to close under any circumstances.

If they aren't current with property taxes they should be foreclosed. Like 700 homeowners and churches. Idiotic
location that in any other City without Death Ray/Metrograft morons would be used for retail.

Not under any circumstances?????     Must they stay open even if the more homeowners in the city lose their homes because of paying even higher taxes just to pay for this Edison Center?

Well????    Are you going to answer that?????

Of course, DV will pretend I'm on ignore just to avoid answering that question.

And even if not on McCheese's s*&^ list. How does a nonprofit get behind in taxes which they don't pay?
How do five churches face foreclosure? This is more DEM fiscal incompetence. Even nonprofits like the Y are
facing foreclosure because of outrageous DEM fees.

Well, STILL no response to that question?    Too CHICKEN to reply?????    Well??????    What's the matter, cat got your tongue?   What's the matter, your dem leader slapping your fingers with a ruler?

Since you said "NOT" under "ANY circumstances," obviously that DOES mean that if circumstances warrant, then the homeowners who can't pay for it, they should lose their home, right?   Can you answer that DV?

DV claims he wants intelligent discussion, but at ALL cost avoids any discussion about homeowners losing their homes, and I'm NOT talking about the scumlords as homeowners.

I really think that GE should pay the costs of the Edison Museum.

What else they got to do with their money, they don't pay income taxes.

My understanding is that GE has - at least in the past - been very supportive of the Edison Center.  It is about time that the city and county leaders became supportive of the center.   I know that there are some political differences between the city and county leaders -- and the leaders of the Edison Center.   And while I am not suggesting that partisan differences are clouding the current situation, I am saying that the business of governing should rise above petty politics.   There is an appropriate time for campaigning and partisan politics -- and there are appropriate matters which should be a part of a partisan political debate ---------but an institution which is dedicated to safeguarding our community's historic treasures SHOULD NEVER become a pawn in a partisan political skirmish.
