Probably won't be as the ski shop on albany st. that has burned more than once and also is not all boarded up is left standing. When you walk by there can't tell if its that building or the large brick apt complex that is also vacant and owned by the city but there is a heavy musty odor, sickening.

agree %1000 percent - those two houses will never be occupied, so at best they'll be an eyesore - at worst a source of trouble and a fire hazard.
One of the problems with the demolition is probably asbestos and other health hazards. That really jacks up the cost of demolition. If it was just drywall, lumber, and plaster - a lot of them would be torn down already.
That monstrosity at the corner fo Albany and Paige - probbaly cost over $50k to tear it down.

The latest tax and assessment data says the property was assessed at $65,500.00 with taxes of $1,631.43
leggs9966 sorry this is happening to you. If the court ruled 9 years ago you were not responsible, then the city should have taken ownership right then and sold it while it still was sellable. Why am I not surprised that the city just boarded it up and left it.
Dont know the circumstances of what was happening regarding your ownership of it back then, but hope you realize on the county site you are still listed as the owner.
People have been using both vacant houses for various thing, not really surprised that a fire occured. I was walking past 339 one day on the way to the store and heard someone coughing in the upstairs, scared the heck out of me as the house "looked" well boarded guess not.
As you are not responsible for the house please let your lawyer know that whoever was in charge of keeping both of these vacant houses boarded did not. People using both houses for "activities".
Same with Andy's Ski shop, there was a fire last year and the side windows still not boarded.
No one was hurt, but investigators say there was evidence that people had been inside, perhaps involved in illegal activity. The fire started on the second floor of the house.
