You were told to be angry at the Veitnamese and directed to kill millions of them.  That included women and children.  But that is legitimate terrorism since the people that diricted you had an office inside a government monument and wore a government issued costume with medals on their chest.  That makes sense to you box.  It is amazing what cause gives a person a clear conscience after killing.

Yes,
When the Government does it, its called collateral damage.
Nice surgical and sanitary.
When people do it its murder, terrorism.
It's all in the vocabulary.

Well, that's the "official" report.  Once it's "official" you can no longer question.
Trained like Pavlov's dog, when you hear the word "official" stop questioning.
If you continue questioning the "official" report, you are a "conspiracy theorist".  Just another example of how linguistics prevent you from questioning the authoritarians.

Cicero... you keep painting all Marines with your "hate brush".
I was NEVER told to be angry at the Vietnamese... EVER... Especially the Women & Children.
In fact the exact opposite was true.  Marines in my unite were wounded PROTECTING Vietnamese civilians.
(I keep telling you Cissy...that you are posting about things you know noting about)

Your next statement is just as false...
"It is amazing what cause gives a person a clear conscience after killing".
Tell me Cicero... what are your feelings after killing some one? Tell me your personal experience and how
you managed to kill with a clear conscience?

Where did you get all these personal insights on the Vietnam war???
A movie?
A comic book???
Just make em up???

Who killed the million plus Vietnamese?  Who were you protecting them from, the government they now live under?  The US military carpet bombed Vietnam for 14 straight months resulting in an estimate 600,000 deaths.  Are you telling me those carpet bombing campaigns only killed the "bad guys"?

Really Cic.  Read a history book.  REALLY!

Carpet bombed?  It was illegal for US planes to "CARPET BOMB" any city in the north or the south.
Only strategic targets were allowed to be hit in populated areas.  Read a history book.

What you see above is a B52 (carpet bombing) jungle and mountains in Vietnam.  Not cities, not populated
areas.  Much of Vietnam is dense mountains which was used as a staging areas of the North Vietnamese, and
a suitable target for B52 strikes. Read a history book.

The total number of Vietnamese killed on both sides, in that war is not known but estimates are 3 million.
Some killed by US troops.  Some killed by South Vietnamese troops, Some killed by North Vietnamese troops
some killed by the VietCong some killed by by various other troops.

Anti-Communist forces:
South Vietnam
United States
South Korea
Australia
Philippines
New Zealand
Thailand
Khmer Republic
Kingdom of Laos

Communist forces:
North Vietnam
Viet Cong
Khmer Rouge
Pathet Lao
Supported by:
Soviet Union
China
North Korea
Czechoslovakia
Cuba
Bulgaria

Lol! Hilarious.

We carpet bombed the non-population areas.

That really is the dumbest claim ever.

Were we pissed at the trees?

I guess you missed it L4Life.  I'll repeat it for you:

Much of Vietnam is dense mountains which was used as a staging areas of the North
Vietnamese,
and a suitable target for B52 strikes.

We targeted large units of North Vietnamese regulars and most of the Ho Chi Mihn Trail with b52 attacks.
Why target the enemy in the mountainous areas??? BECAUSE IT REDUCES BATTLES IN POPULATED AREAS
thus reducing civilian casualties.
US forces could easily bombed these troops in populated areas of the North before they left North Vietnam,
which would have resulted in massive civilian casualties.

For 11 days of a 10 year war,  Nixon bombed the North's ports (Haiphong & Hanoi) and it's staging areas in
the north.
Interestingly in the city of Hanoi, the most densely populated area in the north, 1700 flights  bombing
concentrated areas of enemy supplies and production dropped 20,000 tons of bombs and killed (according
to your video) 1318 civilians.
I think that is amazing that a concentration of 20,000 tons of bombs, managed to hit precise targets so well
that the civilians killed were less than 1320.

Look at the destruction of a B52 bombing run (on a jungle area) and imagine what damage that would do to
a populated area.  Can you imagine that destruction on a populated city area?  I imagine if dropped on
civilian targets the death toll would be over 13000 not 1300.

For all but these 11 days, the US did not bomb cities in the North.

You missed the part where the mass civilian casualties did , in fact occur.

Your claim of illegality is nonsense.

Illegal act of war? It wasn't a war. It was an invasion and attempted government toppling.

It was also the biggest failure of the US military in the entire 20th century.

For what?

What good came from the million dead Viet Namese?
