A message from Blue Cross Blue Shield
November 6, 2012 will be the most important date that will affect the rest of your life ... The Choice Is Yours.

A message from Blue Cross Blue Shield

MEDICARE
Look clearly at the 2014 rate compared to the 2013 rate.

For those of you who are on Medicare, read the following. It's short, but
important and you probably haven't heard about it in the Mainstream News:

"The per person Medicare Insurance Premium will increase from the present
Monthly Fee of $96.40, rising to:

$104.20 in 2012

$120.20 in 2013

And

$247.00 in 2014."

These are Provisions incorporated in the Obamacare Legislation, purposely
delayed so as not to confuse the 2012 Re-Election Campaigns.  Send this to all Seniors that you know, so they will know who's throwing them under the bus.

Really Bumbler... If you want any creditably on this board at all, you should check your facts before you
post obvious Hoax email as if they were factual.
This bogus email has been around for a year and is totally false.

Quoted Text
The current basic premium for Medicare is $99.90 per month — not $104.20 as the message claims.

And that is currently expected to rise to $109.10 next year — not $120.20 as claimed.

As for 2014 — when the new health care law will supposedly peg the basic rate at $247,  according to the email — the system’s actuary currently predicts it will really be $112.10.

Is a 10% increase in premiums in one year good?

Medicare Part B (medical insurance) monthly premium for 2012

What is the monthly premium for Medicare Part B (medical insurance) in 2012?
The standard Part B premium for 2012 is $99.90.

Part B helps pay for doctors' services and outpatient care.  It also covers other medical services, such as physical and occupational therapy, and some home health care.  For most people with Medicare, the government pays a substantial portion-about 75 percent-of the Part B premium and you pay the remaining 25 percent.

Since 2007, higher-income beneficiaries will pay more of their Part B premium based on income they reported on their federal income taxes.  In 2012, only beneficiaries with income greater than $85,000 and married couples with income greater than $170,000 will pay a monthly premium equal to 35, 50, 65 or 80 percent of the total cost, depending on the income they reported on their taxes. However, less than 5 percent of people with Medicare are affected, so most people will not pay a higher premium.

For more information or to get an idea of what you can expect to pay, see Medicare Premiums: Rules for Higher-Income Beneficiaries (Publication No. 10161), call us toll-free at 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778, or visit your local Social Security office. They don't 'draw a line'... it's a graduated increase based on income.
" 35, 50, 65 or 80 percent of the total cost"
and
"less than 5 percent of people with Medicare are affected, so most people will not pay a higher premium."

And that is liberal fairness.  If the majority takes from the minority,  justice was served.

Thou shall not steal unless by majority vote.  And best yet, if you oppose taking from the minority to benefit the majority, you are acting against your self interests.

I know....that's why it's a freaking JOKE.....the whole system tells you your worth....either we pity the poor fool
or we demonize those who grew by their own sweat....

so that makes the poor fool (tic of course) more equal than another...Robin Hood? Hood? Hood? Beuhler? Beuhler?
