SCHENECTADY — The Fireball Run's drivers fell behind schedule Wednesday while driving from Watertown, Jefferson County, canceling some of their Schenectady appearances.

The scheduled 3 p.m. Wednesday City Hall event was scrapped and event organizers scrambled to salvage a 5 p.m. public meet-and-greet at the Glen Sanders Mansion in Scotia.

Event organizer Don Rittner was not immediately available for comment, but road blocks were being taken down and extra police officers were dismissed at 2:45 p.m. when it became clear the caravan of six-figure luxury autos would not arrive in time, witnesses said.

The DeLorean used in the movie "Back to the Future II" and more than 40 exotic and classic cars including Ferraris and Lamborghinis had planned to roar into the Electric City for an interactive road rally known as the Fireball Run

SOME appearances were cancelled - including the one at City Hall.

The Renaissance CONTINUES -- WITHOUT the nayboobs.....

There wasnt any parking spots around city hall.  all were taken by city employees.
