Why would anyone go into a Walmart on purpose?

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

And side note. Why do sentences get cut in half when writing? Is there a way to fix it in the settings?

I worked at the Altamont ave store for a year in Electronics (literally the only person there that knew anything about electronics - yes I'm a nerd) so I've seen it ALL from the front line. Would never go back for any reason whatsoever. The worst pieces of vile filth walk through those doors.

I agree 100%. I don't think that thinking that folks should bathe, not use 4 letter words in front of their kids, pulling their pants up above their butt crack and speaking english properly is being intolerant.

Actually, expecting others to conform to your standards of what is proper, is exactly the definition of intolerance.

Intolerance: The lack of toleration; unwillingness or refusal to tolerate or respect contrary actions, opinions, beliefs, persons of different races or backgrounds, etc.

Proper English?
Bathe to your standards?
Censor themselves for you?
Wear clothing that you approve of?

Holy crap. You have no business even using a word that you obviously have no concept, of what it means.

You are quoting those who used that same argument to take America from "the savages."

I will agree with your first few words, "I don't think that thinking that folks should ..."

Thinking it is your own personal choice.

Publicly displaying it is intolerance.

Am I intolerant for being intolerant of your intolerance?

No, I am anti intolerant.

Who the hell are you to judge people who were raised in a completely different environment than you?

I think you confuse tolerance with acceptance.  I can tolerate a lot.  That doesn't mean I accept it.  I can sit at a bar listening to a loud mouth drunk run his mouth, it doesn't mean I accept it and not have an opinion.  I won't patronize  a bar with drunk loud mouths that bartenders can't keep in line.  I don't care what environment they were raised in.  There is no environment that justifies poor hygiene or being a rude obnoxious a**hole.  I'll tolerate it for the moments I'm exposed to it - I won't accept it.

We judge all the time...I don't know how you navigate through life without judging.

I judge all the time.

I just accept the differences as much as I can.

Everyone is intolerant of certain things.

For instance, would you tolerate someone stealing your belongings? Would you tolerate someone coming into your home and killing your pets? The value of tolerance and intolerance depends on the context. Sometimes intolerance is an acceptable way to act, while sometimes it is not.

Allowing the drunk to run his mouth is tolerance.

Trying to force him to change his behavior is intolerance and offensive use of force.

There are, in fact, many environmental variables, that contribute to poor hygiene and a lack of manners.

Poverty, lack of parents while growing up, being raised by ignorant hateful people, etc.

Learning to accept people and their differences is really tough sometimes. Social intolerance is very powerful and addictive behavior.

Social intolerance begins with many sources but mainly begins due to fear of the unknown.

Insecurity is a great reason for developing intolerance because the intolerant are so insecure that he/she begins to claim differences as faults. The accuser first thinks the difference as a fault, and when he/she speaks it, many people agree with the accuser thereby spreading an insecure person’s stupid hatred thoughts into the minds of other insecure people.

I realize that both you and I appear as being angry to the casual observer. We have issues that we are passionate about and are biased towards those beliefs. This pisses a lot of people off who are afraid that our statements are a threat to their viewpoints or their way of life.

I am not an angry person. I wish only for people to power down their aggression and try to accept those who are different. Muslims, street gangsters, baggy a** pant wearing gangsta wannabees, Jews, Arabs, the Chinese, the homicidal maniacs of the world, etc.

The extremism and violent reactions brought about by the spread of social intolerance is growing rapidly. People need to learn to forgive, to show compassion and understanding of the differences that divide us all.

I am merely suggesting that I must become the change that I wish to see evolve in the world. To that end I must display the tolerance that I espouse.

Hatred and intolerance is an easy lifestyle choice.

Acceptance, tolerance, non-use of force, love and forgiveness is the hard road.
