OBAMA SELLS POSTERS DESECRATING AMERICAN FLAG BY REPLACING STARS WITH OBAMA LOGO President Barack Obama took the Cult of Obama and narcissism to perhaps an unprecedented level on Wednesday when his campaign began selling posters that desecrated the image of the American flag by replacing the stars on the flag with the “O” symbol that serves as the Obama campaign’s logo. These posters are beyond creepy. And they are also stunning displays of egotism and disrespect even from a president not known for his humility and reverence for America's traditions. http://www.breitbart.com/Big-G.....tars-With-Obama-Logo |

The "Obama Flag" is disrespectful to the U.S, flag and to all who fought and died to protect what the Stars and Stripes stand for. It is ironic that this story broke the same week that we celebrate the 198th anniversary of the writing of the Star Spangled Banner. I have highlighted the "5th stanza" which was wriiten by Oliver Wendell Holmes Sr. and added to the song during the American Civil War. The words I have underlined in that "5th stanza" are as appropriate today as they when written in 1861.
O say can you see by the dawn's early light, What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming, Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight, O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming? And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there; O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave, O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
On the shore dimly seen through the mists of the deep, Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes, What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep, As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses? Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam, In full glory reflected now shines in the stream: 'Tis the star-spangled banner, O! long may it wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
And where is that band who so vauntingly swore That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion, A home and a country, should leave us no more? Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution. No refuge could save the hireling and slave From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave: And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave, O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
O thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand Between their loved home and the war's desolation. Blest with vict'ry and peace, may the Heav'n rescued land Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation! Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just, And this be our motto: "In God is our trust." And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave![12]
When our land is illumined with liberty's smile, If a foe from within strikes a blow at her glory, Down, down with the traitor that tries to defile The flag of the stars, and the page of her story! By the millions unchained, Who their birthright have gained We will keep her bright blazon forever unstained; And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave, While the land of the free is the home of the brave. |

I'd like to think of it the other way -- too many people are so apathetic that they are NOT offended when others trash our nation, the US Flag, the US Constitution and our traditional moral values. |

You should storm an embassy and demand free speech be canceled. Overly sensitive intolerant goat molester. |

So is that Obama flag anything like these Romney Flags???Should we wait with baited breath, for the indignant responses from the Right about how disrespectful Romney is to OUR FLAG? Do ya think their outrage is reserved only for Obama? Do ya think they will protest these Romney sacrileges as vehemently as they did the Obama offense? Or do ya think they are all politics and no values? (I wonder if DVOR will sing for us again at this Romney Outrage?) ~ O say can you see by the dawn's early light, What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming,~ |
