Records, getting your birth certificate, getting marriage certificate. A "prioirity" fee if you need it rather on the spot. Come on, most people go to get those records because, for example, the parent died and they need the birth certificate for some reason or another. People can't wait for weeks so it will cost more because the city doesn't want to tax the millionaires downtown.
The interesting thing is that it does NOT take any additional time or effort to get it now than the "non-priority" way. Since the people who originally got the birth certificate, marriage license, etc, paid for them, that should be it, they were paid for once, but now these dems want to charge twice for them.
With today's technology getting the information should be as easy as putting the name into a search box on the city's website and it comes up instantaneously, I wouldn't even have a problem with paying the $10 for that. A year or so ago my sister got a copy of an aunt-in-law's birth or death certifcate from Illinois, or maybe Wisconsin, can't remember, it was online for no more than $15 and she got it instantaneously on the computer.
See, reduction of services to the taxpayers while increasing taxes on them.

I misplaced my daughter's birth certificate. I got a copy of it in under 5 minutes. It took longer to find the right office than it did for the employee to "locate" it and print it. It would take gross incompetence for it to take more than a few minutes. |

Heck at the county, you can go there and look stuff up on the computers and just click print and pay 50 cents a page, instantaneous. It's been like that for at least 15 years |
