On The Beach, the movie about a life ending nuclear war where those that survive are short timers.  It is always good to watch this movie once every couple years.  That is all I can take, the movie is depressing to the extreme.

A limited nuclear exchange will alter 'life' in ways we can not imagine.  Wall to wall cancer, DNA changes that will make The Island Of Doctor Moreau seem like a childs fantasy.  If the On The Beach scenario plays then cancer will be instantaneous, followed by death.

There are sick minds in government & science who believe a nuclear option is possible.  A large scale nuclear exchange between India & Pakistan will make us all ill.  Iran's hardened nuclear manufacturing sites once they become impregnable to conventional weapons will require nuclear 'bunker busters'.

Nuclear weapons are the devils brew.  One way or the other they will get us.  Even if disarmament were universal & immediate, we are not going to send all the nuclear waste to the Moon.

Add to the nukes all the chemicals we deploy in industry & our daily life, it is only a matter of time before we fry ourselves.  Going green wont save us.

We just have to be careful from now on.  Pray a lot also.
