Schenectady County holds fourth gun buy-back event Sunday

The Schenectady County Sheriff's Office is holding the fourth gun buy-back event today.

It will be held at Mr. Marc's Barber Shop at 975 Albany Street from 2 pm until 6 pm.

Anyone who turns in a gun will get a gift card ranging from $25 for smaller guns to $250 for assault weapons.

So far the program has collected 51 guns over the past four months.

They have the gun buy-back and the City open house on the same day.

Maybe they should 'consolidate' both and let the homeowners meet their buy-back neighbors.

The bars on Proctors are a good indication of where the City is going .....
