Before the Gulf of Tonkin resolution, there were a total of 55,000 US troops who served in Vietnam. Over 400 died in combat there. Total about 2 1/2 Million US troops served in Vietnam.
You really don't understand much about this subject do you? With every post, you dig a deeper hole.
Box, I'm using your numbers, the highest year troop level prior to gulf of tonkin was 23,300. But, if you want to add them all up, you still can't have 58k casualties with 55k troop levels. Unless there is some secret formula you were taught in the marine corps that can account for American casualties that aren't even there. I don't have to be a historian on the topic of the Vietnam Conflict to figure out simple mathematics.

Kaheel has lived in the United States for 38 years. He says his family back in Libya feel they have lost a friend with the killing of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens. Kaheel says the anti-American protests are an attempt for extremists to create instability in the region.
