Every time some local DEM seeks State office beyond the Gazetto readership they get slammed. Add Joe
Landry to a long list of DEM "machine" losers who got crushed trying to run for higher office. SS Savage, Lumpy Kosiur, A-Jello Santabarbara, etc, etc. They are tax and borrow frauds who should never have been elected in
the first place. Let alone promoted.

A-Jello will lose for the second time since he is tied to the horrible DEM machine with no support beyond
the County line. Only blind mice keep re-electing them. Keep "working together" screwing County property
owners. lol.

I predict the fortunes of the candidates who are endorsed by the Schenectady County Democratic Party are in good stead -- WITH the exception of the candidacy of the current White House Occupant, and WITH the exception of Representative Paul Tonko. Mr. Tonko is a delightful human being yet I believe that his various votes against Life have relegated him to the extreme Left as of late. As to President Obama, I am sure that his leftist vision is damaging the Democratic Party and it is time we elect ROMNEY/RYAN!

Tonko is inept.  He disgraces the engineering profession with his wholly unsustainable and illogical fiscal positions.

Benny, I was thinking the same thing this morning after seeing the vote totals. Seems anyone from this county on the Dem side, no one else wants. They have to hope the Governor cuts them a job. Still can't believe he gave Stratton a job after that pension deal. I wouldn't vote for him.

Does that include Buchanan?  I can never tell which party he's actually FOR.  After running empty slates for nearly his whole term in office, now he wants a seat on the bench?  Gimme a break.

I don't think it's right to refer the Schenectady democratic party as a "machine".

A "machine", functions, and performs useful tasks.

I think the word "contraption" is a much better fit.

Landry was endorsed by McCheese and got crushed. A-Jello was endorsed by McCheese and will be crushed in November. As far a lob job maybe Cuomo has something at the Canal Corp for pathetic taxer McCheese?
He is expert at sinking a sinking ship. Porterhouse will be crushed by Rich Paterne who has 4 lines in
November.

Benny Salami, I do hope you are right re: Ms. Porterhouse being defeated in the upcoming election. I wish Mr. Paterne all the luck in the world.

On another subject as it pertains to the city council make up, what is the current status of Ms. Blanchard? Can we expect her to return to the council soon? Her absence has already resulted in a 3 to 3 deadlock on the job elimination issue (not a bad thing in this observers opinion). Will the Democratic party seek to remove and replace her in an effort to avoid future deadlocks?

they will fluff her pillows if it means they can pop Mooterveener into that seat!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

GrahamBonnet, a rather unique and succinct observation.

I am sympathetic to Ms. Blanchard's current plight, and wish her a speedy recovery. However the fact that her absence could create more chaos on an already dysfunctional legislative body that the current council is, I would hope some sort of resolution is forthcoming.
