A number of years ago I read a book about 'electronic commerce'.  I assumed the book would describe the functioning of electronic commerce & it's impact on the world.  What I found was a book written by a man with PHD's up the Yalu ranting on how America's time has come.  Time to descend into economic irrelevancy.  The message was obvious.

The function of 'law' is to advance man from a world of blood feuds & vendetta into a system where economic & personal affairs can be settled without bloodshed.  In America we have a system of law that grinds US to a halt, inflicts cost on business by encouraging irresponsible litigation.  The system of Law & Order we have in America promotes injustice & is minimizing business capabilities.

Then there is the media AKA a free press.  The press is the hatchet man for the social progressives.  There is nothing social about these people & progressive means giving wealth of one man to another under the auspices of a failed philosophy.  There is nothing free about the free press, it comes at a high price to America.

America is a 'service economy' that means we manufacture little but produces globs of data.  Data is necessary but when it becomes more important than the tangible, we are in deep trouble.

Add it all up.  A world jealous of our success, a lawyer class practicing a form of law called cannibalism, a moribund press, an economy that is totally dependent on the flow of electricity.

Soon, due to the cost of energy, nuclear impulse device or solar storms, our power grids will shut down.  Gas pumps wont work, PC's will expire after X number of hours battery power, HVAC will be a fond memory & hospitals will become stinking heaps of dead flesh.  No one should wonder how Easter Island met it's end, we are on that track.

Our friends at off shore manufacturing sites will survive.  It wont be easy but they got tools & factories, we have few.  When the talking heads disappear, who will be left to tell you how to think.  Don't worry, you will be too busy scrounging for bread crumbs.  FACEBOOK wont seem all that important.  You will fade away into nothingness which is what the current political system offers.
