Call Paul and Roney during their shows like the friday before and the monday of the meeting, and tell their listeners to do that, and to bring along others. If you are on facebook and twitter, get the word out that way. Tomorrow is primary day, stand outside polling sites and tell people. Dear Editor letters. Find any local blogs and write it. Tell your kids friends' parents, tell people at your church, etc. |

Quoted Text
Schenectady budget analyst says he was fired after criticizing sales-tax agreement
In other words, they are not SURE so maybe he is a dirty no-good scumbucket like the democraps want you to believe! Talk about editorializing! HOLY CRAP THEY ARE SO BLATANT!!!!!!! |

I'd like to see the actual written work rules that were broken in this case. Were these rules presented to the gentlemen that was fired? Did he sign an acknowledgement of receipt of these rules? If the answers to these questions aren't yes, I think a lawsuit is justified for termination without just cause. |

http://www.osc.state.ny.us/localgov/audits/swr/2010/ethics/schenectady.pdfThe local government could also notify employees about whistle-blower provisions that exist in Civil Service Law. For example, under certain circumstances, Civil Service Law provisions protect an employee from dismissal or other disciplinary action by the local government because the employee has disclosed (1) information regarding a violation of a law, rule or regulation that creates and presents a substantial and specific danger to public health or safety, or (2) information that the employee reasonably believes to be true and reasonably believes to be an “improper governmental action.” Local officials can reinforce awareness of whistle-blowing protections by referring to them in the code of ethics or other board policies. Without knowledge of the protections afforded by whistle-blower provisions, local officials and employees may be unduly inhibited from reporting violations of law or other improper governmental action. |

Indeed. I find it hard to believe, that anyone who has an inkling of what goes on in City and County politics, would be surprised that this would happen. I know I certainly wasn't. I fully expected it to happen. I would also say, rather sadly I might add, that I fear there will be a brief period of outrage by the citizenry, and then it will be business as usual. If the populace of the city were not apathetic we would not be in the stew in which we are mired today. And one more sad comment on the apathetic state that is local politics. I predict that the Porterhouse woman will win today's Democratic primary, and be elected to a full term in the fall. I hope with all my heart I am proven wrong, but the despicable act of firing Mr. Cuthbert leads me to believe she will win. Sad, sad, sad. |

They all must goose step towards bankruptcy. McCheese is the worst most corrupt Mayor in City history. He had no comment! He just raised your property taxes 20% this year. DUMP Marion Poterfield TODAY. Marion voted to screw all the City taxpayers agreeing to Gardiner's deal. Stop being blind mice and throw McCheese puppet out TODAY. Primary polls open Noon-9PM. Break up the DEM puppet coven. |

There was a story here a couple of days ago, I believe it was a Gazette article posted by "Admin" - about how Cuthbert showed up to work, his doors were locked, McCarthy was at a Dentist appointment (I believe) - and he was told to go home and come back Wednesday.
I can't seem to find that story now - has it been deleted? Can anyone find it? |

I would REALLY like to know who ordered the Police to sit and watch him in his office and HOW that political act of harrassment was in keeping with their role as public safety officers? DOes VISITOR have an answer to that?
When will the PD investigate that misuse of resources? |

I'm more interested in what the terminated employee still has left up his sleeve.
You don't just step out into the spotlight with accusations, without having some other information, that can be used against the terminators.
That's the rule of all government jobs, have enough dirt on the bosses that you can't be fired, and make it stick.

It was probably so he wouldn't take anything out of the office......which he most likely did...
they are usually escorted out by police not watched over....maybe someone made a threat......

Probably nothing

He did his job. He gave his fiscal findings .That's why he was fired.
That's the rule of all government jobs, have enough dirt on the bosses that you can't be fired, and make it stick.
And there is your flaw of your tinfoil logic. 'Dirt' assumes that he has something that someone did illegally. This isn't the case....There was a plan in action and he didn't follow the 'plan' If he takes this to court, he'll loose under the terms of his employment. I'm not defending Sch'dy gov, but it's very obvious you don't know how politics work |
