It does look much better and it is my understanding that it is owned by a private business.

What would it be good for? The location sucks, and the building is old.

Clearly, you are quite wrong since the business that is locating there is doing well enough to spend money on giving the building a face-lift.

So the business is doing the facelift? Or could it be the owner of the building, who may not be the busines occupying the building, is doing the facelift to attract a tenant? Okay Mr. "I KNOW EVERYTHING"....which is it?

B & D Properties LLC bought the property from Louis Mastriani on 4/11/2000 for $200,000.

The property is currently assessed at $300,000.

If you go to google street view and look at the property at 2603 Guilderland Ave, the windows are filled with For Rent signs.

Most of the remodel has already been done in the streetview photos. so the pictures are fresh.

So it likely wasn't the thriving business that did the remodel, contrary to what the village idiot has said.

The old library across the street is also for rent, as well as Sorrento's, Dunzy's and the former insurance company across from Dunzy's.

So from Country Farms down to Sal's market you have Sal's hair stylist, NAPA and the play room for kids.

That's 3out of 8 businesses are occupied.

I'm going to take a closer look today to make verify how many of the businesses are open.

The nayboob/constant critics are trying to create an issue where this none.  The building is occupied with a private business.  The owner chose to give the building a facelift.  Instead of being happy -- thenayboobs cry and rant and foam rabidly at the mouth.   Apparently, the nayboobs are opposed to private individuals and/or businesses doing well and choosing to improve their own property.

NO, we're oppossed to YOU making claims that are strictly your conjecture.  YOU said it was the thriving business:

WE were questioning if that was true...i.e. BUSINESS located in the building or OWNER that owns building business is in.  L4L has pointed out that you were incorrect and that BUILDING OWNER did facelift. So you were shown to be wrong and now need to SPIN THE TALE to try and save face................AIN'T WORKJING, YOU'VE BEEN CALLED ON IT!!!!!

I just went by and looked in the building. The old Draper Pharmacy is empty. It is all new, and no for rent signs, but empty.

The haircut place next to Sorrento's is empty, Sorrento's is closed, Dunzy's is for sale and closed, the insurance company is closed and for sale, the library is closed and for rent or sale.

The day care, Sal's hair stylist and NAPA are open.

That's 6 non-operating businesses and 3 operational.

Don't forget if you cross Curry Road you can also rent or buy another half dozen out of business commercial buildings. I literally think that within less than a mile stretch on Guilderland Ave. there are a dozen empty buildings looking for business' to fill them. Pretty amazing how poorly the zoning, planning, taxing and what not has effected this stretch of road.
