Having watched all (pretty much) of the Republican Convention from Tampa, I attempted to give equal time and fairness by doing the same with the Democratic Convention from Charlotte, My honest opinion is this: a) Thank God, TMC had some half-way decent movies to flip over to when the DNC got boring (which it quickly did); b) if a national convention is supposed to be an opportunity to showcase the future talent of a political party than the Democrats are in a heap of trouble on the national level; c) how in the hell did Harry Reid ever get to be the party leader in the US Senate?; d) things must really be bad if we Democrats have to celebrate/point to the Carter Administration as the time of our last greatest accomplishment -- and finally -- e) with high unemployment, zero growth in the housing market and a 16 Trillion national debt .. does it really make sense to focus with laser sharp attention our party's agenda on 1) removing God from the platform, 2) throwing Israel over board, 3) continuing to delude ourselves that the only thing women really want are free abortions with no reasonable exception and free contraceptives ???????????????????????????????????

DVOR - keep talking like that and they're gonna pull your dem card. How dare you speak against the anointed one ... ^5, good job!
You forgot to throw into your rant something about all the illegal immigration. Which side of that subject do you stand on? Did they have many people speaking in Spanish at the convention? I didn't turn it on at all, and barely turned on the Republican (or maybe I didn't turn it on, just heard about parts of it, don't even remember. It's not really that important.)

Proof that Governor Romney is more effective than President Obama :
Romney was able to get a whole hurricane to change course and miss Tampa while Obama can't keep a few measly thunderstorms away from Charlotte.

Measurement firm Visible Measures has done a survey of online traffic for the speeches at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla., last week and the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C., which concluded Thursday. The company measured traffic to videos uploaded after the speeches had concluded — that is, not live streams. To keep it apples to apples, the traffic for Republicans is as of around 11 a.m. last Friday, the morning after their convention ended. And for Democrats, around 11 a.m. today.
Here’s the data for videos of the top ten DNC speakers, as of 11 a.m. Friday morning: Speaker Views
Michelle Obama 2,582,994 Bill Clinton 1,579,893 Julian Castro 460,778 Barack Obama 308,050 Kal Penn 138,981 Deval Patrick 106868 Elizabeth Warren 91,929 Cory Booker 71,275 Zach Wahls 39,800 Eva Longoria 33,785
Here is the comparable data for the top ten RNC speakers, as of 11 a.m. last Friday: Speaker Views
Clint Eastwood 557,109 Paul Ryan 407,086 Ann Romney 383,650 Chris Christie 274,719 Mia Love 197,719 Condoleeza Rice 154,264 Artur Davis 62,832 Rand Paul 50,556 Mitt Romney 35,518 Marco Rubio 22,575

The data above is NOT the most watched speakers -- but the most video uploads after the speech. It is very possible that the vast majority of those people who uploaded the Democratic speeches were Independents and Republicans either trying to figure out what the Democrats were actually saying (translate their code language), trying to capture gaffes and lies -- or just preparing to use snippets of those speeches in advertisements AGAINST the president or other members of the party down the line.

Bottomline -- you were INACCURATE in stating that those were the "most watched" speakers. It may have been unintentional or intentional -- I won't judge your motives.
Needless to say, I won't change your point of view regarding this Presidential Election and you won't change mine. But I do look forward to telling you "I told you so!" when Mitt Romney wins on Election Day 2012.

The DNC was an epic disaster on ALOT of levels. So bad, in fact, the even Jon Stuart pointed out the hypocracy.
And....OMFG!...How about that vote to put God and the Jews back on the DNC platform!....We see now how 'progessive' democracy works now!
So much more fail...So little time.
But I'll give props to Veggiesaurus Rex (aka Michelle Obama, aka Queen of the Fries, aka First Lady) and Joe 'Bite Me' Biden for giving good speeches.
Always remember the the Dems are 'Pro-Choice'

I forget which cable channel (not FOX) that actually got video of DNC delegates actually saying that America needs to outlaw corporations from making a profit. Between the non-stop attacks on entrepreneurship and free market capitalism and the obsession with abortion, contraceptives and same-sex marriage -- I am afraid that the once great Democratic Party is rapidly racing to the left and its own oblivion.
You are kinder to Joe Biden than I would ever be. I'd rather watch paint dry or grass grow than listen to him drone on and on.
