The last time it was painted was over 75 years ago, estimated Proctors CEO Philip Morris.
Phillip Morris doesnt even know the history of Proctors. This is from their own website.
Expansion and Reconstruction Since its 1979 rebirth, Proctors has completed many projects worth millions. By 1983, new installations included carpeting throughout the theatre, a replica of the original house curtain, replicas of the 1926 marquees, and a backstage crossover. Proctors also acquired Goldie, the Mighty Wurlitzer organ, and installed a hydraulic lift for the organ and orchestra pit floor. The ladies’ lounge and powder room were redecorated in 1986, and in 1992 the entire roof was replaced. The ceiling dome and front half of the theatre were painstakingly restored in 1997, and the addition of air conditioning in 1999 allowed for year-round use.
Thanks, The place looks too good for his comment to make sense.

The GOP nayboobs did NOT restore the ceiling to these standards but instead -- let Proctors ROT IN DISREPAIR!
And YOUR dems are letting the whole city, outside of downtown, rot in disrepair!!!!!!!!! Glry, it is quite obvious that you do NOT go INTO the city and see the houses in disrepair because homeowners have no money to fix their homes because they are paying for the gold for Phillip Morris's castle.
YOUR dems are letting the city rot via YOUR DEMS have caused a DRASTIC reduction in the tax base in the city, but of course YOU will not address THAT issue, will you---big chicken, cluck cluck cluck. Let's see YOU addresss the issue of the HUGE DRASTIC reduction in the city's tax base thanks to downtown.

Riiiggghhhttt! Proctors sold out for $600K to let Transfinders tear down the historic building next door. Wow, talk about an historic slap in the face!
Well, nothing like pissing away yet another $100,000 taxpaying-dollar grant. Wonder how much the taxpayers paid in 1997 for this?
Let's just say it, for the millions in grant/taxpayers money Proctors has swindled, there is NO WAY THEY WILL EVER RETURN THE FUNDS!!! Not through taxes, not through tourism, not through sales tax, not through ANYTHING....they are simply a vaccuum sucking the taxpayers dry.
Why can't people see through this facade...well...when they go belly-up, we'll hear the cries from PLEX and the State..."we knew nothing!!!!"

Exactly! While Fat Morris refuses to repay anything and has another fatcat party for himself the City falls into bankruptcy. The entire DEM corrupt house is collapsing around them. Dump Landry and Poterfield in the primary. McCheese, Fat Morris and Death Ray {who's opening another taxpayer funded eatery} should be all sent packing.

taking it back you should write a letter to the editor for the gazette and put in the info you found. You'd figure the Gazette would've caught this, but no they just take whatever Morris, metroplex says and their word is "god"
The ceiling was indeed refurbished in 1997. However a portion was not done due to financial and time constraints. The section currently being done is the section that was left undone. It is approximately 1/3 of the entire ceiling. They are not redoing the entire ceiling.
"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Oh, and there are no fiscal constraints today. The state is rolling in the dough. The county and city is rolling in the dough too. The dems running the state, county, and the city have no fiscal constraints - they just STEAL from the homeowners and if the homeowners don't give, then the dems seize their homes.
REAL GOOD DV, right? It's good that homeowners lose their homes while god almight phillip morris gets his gold and doesn't contribute a damn thing to the city homeowners!!!!!!!!!!!
Of course, you won't answer that, you CONSTANTLY REFUSE to address the issue of homeowners losing their homes due to paying the taxes for downtown. Why is that, DV? Why do you REFUSE to speak about that, huh? Too much of a chicken
