Police said they pulled an emotionally disturbed man out of a Foster Avenue home shortly before noon, ending a standoff that began when the man threatened a neighbor and police earlier Monday morning.
Police dragged the man out of 1875 Foster Ave., at about 11:50 p.m. in handcuffs, two hours after the standoff began, Lt. Mark McCracken said.
The man was put into a police car and taken to Ellis Hospital.
Minutes earlier, police stormed the Foster Avenue home where the man had barricaded himself.
Several explosions from flash grenades could be heard shortly after 11:30 a.m. as a tactical team swept into the apartment police said.
I think this is all a diversion from what matter most and what is wrong with our society. There are company executives that do not support gay marriage and we need to spend our energy and focus on how we can stop those companies from opening in our community.
