I am looking to see if anyone with experience using Rainbow Express (as a pre-school program, not for daycare) can give me a review? I don't really know anyone in the area who has needed pre-school, and there are no reviews available online.  I am really interested in them because they offer bus transportation which would really help our family, but the building seems a bit sketchy so I want an insiders review.
Thank you!

The building is the old schenectady electronics bldg, so they can't help that. This is only from many years ago, but if you kid has special needs or has ADHD, look somewhere else. They have no tolerance for it.

Never heard a complaint and it has been there for a very long time. Ask them for references.

Never had kids there, but I know the owner, Sandi, and her husband John very well.  I'm sure either will be more than happy to show you around at your convenience.

Give her a call, the building is actually very nice inside - great teachers too, wtih lots of activities.

Tell John that Rusty said Hi.

They bring the kids skating, they seem to be very nice people.  Kids are well behaved.

Localmama - welcome!!!  it takes a lot of guts to ask a question here the comments will be blunt to say the least

just ask rollarama about paint and their challenges  - wow

and remember not every business fits every customer's needs  - this is very true in childcare/education

rollarama - thanks for staying involved and speaking up - i would place alot of value on this members comment here on children

i cannot comment - not a user of their facilities

check with the local school teachers also  - for their comments
most of the teachers i know may have summers off but jump on parent involvement and should respond as they serve our community

from my memory they have been there quite awhile

is your search non-sectarian?

hope you find the right fit

and
i remember my father getting tv tubes there - 55tbird thx for the memory

Crossroads on North Wescott Rd.  Just off Curry Rd is very good. They also have excellent programs for children with special needs.

Classrooms are based on ability and needs. It is much more of a traditional school setting than a day care type preschool.

        With wrap-around daycare from:      7:00-9:00 or 2:30-5:30      $15/week additional

Im not sure about the pre-school program but I have known kids that went there for Day Care.  Never had a problem from there.  And one particular child is autistic/nonverbal.

Best advice I can give is to look at places and go there yourself and inspect them.  Use your own judgement and instinct.  Talk to other parents that have or have had children in these places.

Localmama -- please be advised that the opinions of the nayboobs are extremely suspect.. and can NEVER under any circumstances be trusted.  Especially when it concerns the future and safety of our most precious resource -- Children. I would look for opinions from non-nayboobs if I were you.
