if not... then it's just one more, in a long line of FoxSnooze type Republican Propaganda hype.

I referenced a CNN interview and the Chicago Tribune article, how did Fox News and the Republican Party get dragged into this?

CNN NPR CBS ABC NBC and other "REAL" news systems often run stories about the politics of the day...
even if the politics are bogus... See The McCarthy trials.

(As I posted on #70 of this thread, there is nothing funnier than an irate Right Winger who thinks he's been wronged!)
The longer that the Lame Stream Media keeps this 'tempest in a teapot' on the front pages... the longer
Mitt Romney and the Republicans can hide from the American people.
Instead of discussing foreign policy, The Romney Tax Increase for the Middle Class, and the
Mitt Plan to Bomb Iran... the better chance Mitt has of success.

Pay no attention to the Mitt's tax returns behind the curtain...
Look over here at the Chick A Sh!t Hoax!

CICERO!!!  QUICK... SOME LIBERTARIAN FASCISTS ARE RIGHT BESIDE YOU SUPPORTING  CHICK A SH!T

If they don't get a permit... Shoot em'!  (Typical Right Wing Thinking)
See letter below:

Mississippi Libertarian candidate for the US House Ron Williams wrote a letter to the editor of the Biloxi
Sun Herald and suggested that gun violence should be used against the mayors (who deny permits).

“Let me make it clear, the CEO is being punished by government officials because he exercised his
First Amendment right of free speech,” Williams wrote. “The Constitution is very clear. When government
restricts and punishes the people for exercising their First Amendment rights, then we are to default
to the Second Amendment (right to keep and bear arms). These two mayors need to be introduced
to the Second Amendment ASAP. The correct response to these mayors would be to send troops or
whatever to remove these men from office, by whatever means is necessary.”

See I told ya... Nothing funnier (or dumber) than an Irate Right Wing Nut who thinks he's been
wronged.  The Solution To All Problems???  Shoot Em'!

The CEO of Chick-Fil-A only voiced HIS personal opinion.  There has NEVER been any indication that his company has discriminated against anyone because of the personal beliefs of its CEO.

But since we have opened up the topic of personal views and hypocrisy ---
Ben & Jerry's promotes itself as a "green company" yet has been cited numerous times for polluting waterways in Vermont.
Barbra Streisand vociferousness attacked George HW Bush on the his environmental policies while she was bulldozing 16 acres of pristine wilderness in Malibu to build a 4 house compound there 20-some years ago.
Al Gore burns tons of jet fuel flying around the globe and lives in a energy-hogging mega mansion which is lit up brighter than the runways at Nashville airport while demanding that everyone else conserve energy and live simply.
When Nancy Pelosi was Speaker of the House she spent $100,000 a year of TAXPAYER MONEY on alcoholic beverages served  aboard the private jet she demanded to fly back and forth from DC to California and wherever else she traveled.   By the way, her bill (paid by taxpayers) for the alcoholic beverages served at other venues was even higher.
I won't even mention the taxpayer money and energy wasted to fly a congressman from his district TO Washington so that a couple hour laters he could fly BACK to his district on Air Force One.

WOW!  Tbird said it better than I could!  THANKS TBIRD.

As Tbird pointed out... The THREAT to deny a permit to Chick A SH!t is just that... a THREAT!

The Rabid Right on the board should take Tbirds advice...

I was being facetious, Box....as you posted the same thing yesterday.
The difference about the threats are the councilman actually has a means to carry it out, and the libertarian candidate is just blowing smoke.

This is 'NRA'merica... there is plenty of "means to carry out the threat".

Yes, I conceded, this was contrived by FOX News and the Republican Party.  It couldn't be anymore apparent than the CNN interview and the Chicago Tribune story.

Box, you forgot to blame the Koch Brothers and the "vast right wing conspiracy".

Why Chick A Sh!t will lose:

One, the demographic that opposes gay marriage -- older, white Christian conservatives -- is declining in this
country. Businesses depend on growth, so tying your businesses' future prospects to a shrinking population
is a losing strategy. Chick-fil-A now has the same problem as the Republican Party.

Two, the audience advertisers covet most -- the 18-49 crowd -- are in favor of gay marriage. By publicly
embracing anti-gay positions -- including the support of hate groups -- Chick-fil-A is alienating the single
most important demographic there is. And brand perceptions are very difficult to reverse once they've set in.

Three, this is a battle Chick-fil-A can't win. The majority of Americans support marriage equality. And no
matter how many right-wingers stuff their faces with fried chicken sandwiches and pickles, and no matte
r how much money the company throws to the Family Research Council -- gay marriage is here to stay.

A preview of the coming attractions in November. Between Wisconsin and Chick Obama and his stooges are batting zero. The Nazi loved economic boycotts too. First they came for Chick A Fillet and no one said anything.
