Once again, people are going to hear the announcements and fall for the LIES.
Did you hear those two people talking about that taxpayer-subsidized key to the city crap program???? The woman that spoke was bragging about this so-called successful program.
In trying to claim that the program is such a wonderful success - A LIE, BIG BIG LIE -- she compared closings last year to closings this year. I have to go back and listen carefully. She said "from January to ____ ..." and I'm not sure whether she said March or May, I THINK it was a month that started with "M" but I could still be wrong, the dryer buzzer went off.
But regardless of what month, her words continued that "closings are up considerably.
WTF???????
Here are the closings in 2011 and 2012
These are YEAR-TO-DATE closings by month per GCAR who gets the information from the city and county.
Can any cheerleaders for taxpaying higher taxes for this nonsense, explain HOW the year to date numbers show that sales are "up considerably"
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
Any mention of how to fix the big financial hole we're in?? Maybe the council can pool some mega millions tickets? What a bunch. And I mean all of them, I changed my tune on that one.
So the woman that spoke during privilege of the floor, i watched the repeat, stated:
"From Jan 1, through May 31" where she said "sales are up considerably"
And here is the EVIDENCE that she LIED. The OFFICIAL numbers from Jan 1 through May 31 of 2012 show that 96 houses sold, that is compared to 104 sales for the same period in 2011
Wonder if someone in city hall is reading these boards and paid these two people off (with taxpayer money of course) to speak during POF last night and make such comments so that viewers will believe the crap.
What was that paper she handed to the council members, will that become part of the official minutes posted on the city's website for all taxpayers to view---since the taxpayers money is being used for this program?
The guy that spoke about the program referenced some 700+ people who expressed interest, and he mentioned something about 52 houses sold I think, and something about working on 16 loans.
And then he's blabbing about "new residents of Schenectady."
The taxpayers have a birthright entitlement to a complete report, complete details about the use of their money. How many total houses sold since the beginning of this year, we already know that number. How many AND WHICH ONES were in this taxpayer subsidized program? What was the original asking price, the original listing date, the actual sales price, the closing date, what were the seller concessions, how much was the mortgage amount, and most importantly, the buyers-- where did they live BEFORE buying the house. What is the household income range of the buyers and what was their credit score at the time of applying for the mortgage? What is the buyers' debt to income ratio---taxpayers have an entitlement to know this information because taxpayers must be assured that buyers will actually pay their mortgages.
Did you hear that guy talking about the housing counseling involved with this program. And he further said that the days of easy money or easy mortgages is over? Uh, let's see, no down payment, low closing costs, taxpayer subsidized mortgages (low interest), and a mortgage for up to $50,000 more than the price of the house????? If that's not easy mortgages, I don't know what is. What happened to the days of working, paying all your bills on time, putting money into savings (for a home) even if that means you go without cable, cell, internet, going out to eat, shows, etc, and then shopping around and then when you choose the house you put 20% down, or even 10%, and pay all your closing costs yourself? Kind of like the easy mortgages started by a previous dem at a national level because "home ownership MUST be increased" (no matter what or how it will affect us in future years).

Things look great from Fulton County-no? $100 million in City indebtedness with more tacked on for the Erie mess. The City Key program is a huge failure. An attempt to distract from the fact that McCheese and his clapping seals are throwing 700 families out into the street for failure to pay insane DEM property taxes. No wonder one of the new assessment review bored members has already quit in disgust. Even the YWCA is in trouble with water and sewer taxes. But according to the DEM morons a lot of activities for kids downtown- lol and the Museum is a great place for a birthday party. Audit! Audit!
MC1. Being the public board this is, it would be welcome by all here we assume, to have City Hall monitor it. Then the parties that may feel slighted by inaccurate(?) info. could offer up a response and engage in beneficial debate. One based on facts. A justifcation of their platform, a clearing of the air, if you will.

Oh they do. They DO monitor it, and they have the police here as well in the form of Visitor to make sure all taxpayers know that the police are spending precious time monitoring us citizens as to how we critique them.
"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
more foolishness. besides you never have anything important to say
and once again the ultimate hypocrite. you complain about being monitored and harassed when despite mt attempts to ignore you you insist on addressing me
and again it has nothing to do with who I am or when I post. its that I challenge your inaccurate posts and lies
