No question that taxin' tonko has got to go.......but folks shouldn't be so quick to flip the lever for Dieterich either JUST BECAUSE he's not tonko!

Get the facts first!! Do your own vetting!

uhhh, yeah they should. If you don't like Dietrich then toss him out in two years, Otherwise if you don't vote for Dietrich then you are just voting for the same entrenched liberal incumbent who has a zero rating on things conservative. It would be utterly impossible to do worse.

Makes sense...right? But how have the reps helped us????
Who approved raising the amount the METROPLEX/GILLEN and crew enjoy? THE REPS!!!!

They sit back....don't stand up and speak up for ANYTHING regarding the taxpayers.

The only time anyone hears from them is during an election cycle. And after they are elected...'some'....never follow thru with their promises. Oh and let's be reminded on what a great job Pataki did!!!

Sorry..........dems and reps alike need an enema!!!

I am sure Mr. Tonko will contact you on his own to request that you dont publically endorse him.  Not a lot of people like you......not a good reputation.....dont have a lot of friends.....Just sayin!

Just saying -- I have loads of friends and don't give a damn what you think of me.

As for my support and endorsement, it will be based solely on the candidates stand on key priority issues for me.

To begin with --  I don't believe in the Occupy Whatever bullshit and the constant attempts to tag people and divide Americans against one another.  I think that the dirty, law breaking rabble that occupied the park in Albany and elsewhere should have been rounded up, arrested (for breaking the laws that they did) and forced to pay for the damage they did to the park.  Exercising one's Constitutional freedom of speech is one thing but breaking laws and destroying public property is another.

As for my priority issues, I have posted about them here in the past and may post about them (when I have the time) during the campaign season ahead.   But the list  includes but is not limited to fighting and turning back the administration's unconstitutional intrusion on Religious Liberty and protecting the Sanctity of Life from conception to natural death.

Dietrich is the only opponent this year. Meanwhile Taxin Tonko is dumping million more into his Bridge to Nowhere-Amsterdam version and padding his third pension.  If you are a pro-life, anti-Obamacare voter Dietrich deserves a chance.

I wish there were more media focus on this House race.  Unfortunately, Mr. Dieterich doesn't have the name recognition or bags of special interest money that Mr. Tonko has.  But I am heartened by the knowledge that more and more Capital District residents have gotten up the courage to tell Mr. Tonko that they oppose his positions on abortion and a number of other issues.  Hopefully, we can surface a viable, well-known and well-financed challenger to take him on in 2014.
