There are folks who have their own private wells in town.  They can use that water whenever they choose.

I will have one before next year.

Youtube has some good videos of how to do it yourself for just a few bucks.

They use some pvc pipe hooked to your hose and Just sink it slowly into the ground.

Please forgive me for siding with the fruitcake.

We issue the building permits because the gluttons in our local government(especially the RPD) need MORE revenue to pay the salaries of those living in the Shardon government McMansions.  Who cares about the water pumps and rationing for the little people.  Our leaders(kings) need to maintain a certain lifestyle.

New construction should pay a mandatory new pump fund fee.

Like $500 per unit.

Yes, at least enough to pay for Hammy's landscaping fees.

I dug 10 feet to find 65+ feet of water - steady, cold, fresh water.   Installed PEX pipe with freeze plugs, pump and all for less than $300

Water is one thing Rotterdam has plenty of. In many areas in Rotterdam the water table is only 4' below grade as people with water in their basements can attest to.

I just need to decide on the right spot in the yard for the pipe and pump.

and if rotterdam has better infrastructure(sewers) that didnt cost 500/year -you might be able to drink that water

i'll bet the plants love it - just dont water your food garden with it

honestly, I water everything outside with it, EXCEPT veggies and I do not wash the car with it, it leaves a nasty film on everything.  But it's great for the grass

The real draw back is the hookup fee that the town charges.
