You are just too stupid to comprehend plain English.  READ VERY SOWLY AND YOU MIGHT UNDERSTAND:  Cooling children in the backyard with a hose is NOT watering your garden or flower beds.  So the liar is you -- the cowardly cuckoo -- now crawl back into your nest in your attic.

So it's ok to use 15 minutes of water holding a hose in your hand for one purpose but using the same 15 minutes of water by holding a hose in your hand for another purpose, is, according to you, different.   Of course, you never had nor will know the joys of hosing down your children with water anyway.

If a green lawn is not important, than  neither are flowers.   Of course, I say that for us (NOT YOU) who pay our taxes for water having our lawns green is important to our property values, curb appeal increases our property values.  But the taxes that my wife and I pay, and your two mommies pay goes for handouts to for-profits instead of being use for necessities.

But, you failed to address also that some guy from the city posted saying the town told him no watering even for food and also how the cops told him to turn off the hose.  Yeah, the guy who said he's glad it's better in the city, sounds like a perfect partner for you

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

Maybe next election people will think before they pull the lever for friends and family clubs and that applies to both the Reps and Dems as both are guilty of running candidates who won't represent the citizens only the party .

I'm convinced that it can never happen in Rotterdam.   Take the last administration as an example...what a mess they created.   The electorate had an opportunity to get away from the f&f club with the NNTP slate...and what did they do??? They stayed with the Dems and now we pay...and pay...and pay.   The people in Rotterdam are too lazy and uninvolved to do their homework and figure out what is best for the town.  It's sad that the residents are complacent with the same old type of administration time after time.

The town board blew the money that they had for such emergencies on other things. Remember the $250,000 that was set aside for Masullo water problems that just disappeared and nobody said nothing. Who OKed the storm water drainage system that never worked in Sunrise Estates that had to be redone because it was installed wrong. Rotterdam should have an engineer instead of an appointed political hack with a made up title.

seems everything is 'MADE UP' in this town...generation after generation after generation....the only problem is the
ball of string is actually running out...

one generation made up to the previous generation because they 'made up' some job
the generation made up to that previous generation because they 'made up' some vote
that generation made up to the generation because they 'made up' some entitlements
then that generation made up to the that generation because they 'made up' some developement

etc etc etc......

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

So where were MG's supervisors? Who did he answer to? Who knew the pump needed replacing and yet no money was allocated for it? Again......common sense here folks..........the buck did not and does not stop with MG!! The buck stops at the TOWN BOARD and rests solely at their feet!!!

It is obvious that MG was just the 'waterboy'!!! MG got the 'stamp of approval' from the 'higher ups'....yes? Looks like monies was diverted to other budget items that were more important than WATER.....perhaps??

This is just sooooooooooooo rottendam!!

yes the Town Board comprised of both partys are responsible but

but,

Mike Griesmer sat in the position and did nothing

name one board meeting where he stood up and argued for the taxpayers on the issue of water other than the fact that Larnerd was need
to fix water main breaks because Larnard owns a "track hoe" which is better than the wheeled unit the town owns because it ripps up the
roads and needs at least two other pieces of equipment to get it to the needed location and we have to pay the contracted labors prevailing wage vs town employees who work for less and have the same or higher skill level

never once did he give public input to the Board during budget time  - he could have cared less just a long as he could spend the alloted
money with certain town business

never once did he argue for a second water main
nor a new well head
nor a new pump
nor fixes for the sewer dept

then there is the Eunice Osta Esposito Park roof issue - town property and he passes it off on those who use the building who are not town
employees and do not understan town purchasing process - ie going to bid and proper quotes

he did support the disolving of the Senior Center by letting the bulding fall apart - it is no secret you can enter thru the roof - due to lack of repair

the same goes with town hall - - need a new one - roof leaks

but i believe he did argue for a new police station  - stating the current one was costing alot and flooding

the man did not believe in preventative maintance during his 9.x years of service to the town of rotterdam

thus

Griesmer

Talked to some rottendamians and MG did in fact attend the budget process meetings. Don't know what transpired, but he was there just the same.

Sorry.....but this all falls at the feet of the TOWN BOARD!! I would have hoped that rottendamians were smarter than this...no?

Let us all be reminded on how the TOWN BOARD let EE rape the taxpayers? How about the ALS money from REMS? How about the RPD and their lucrative contract that is raping the taxpayers???

Who's to blame when constantino was touching little girls? Who was the police chief then???? What is that police chief's position today?????

Come on there suzie....ya got an axe to grind???? Go to the ones that have created the mess in rottendam....THE TOWN BOARD!!!!

Which Town Board they all have some blame over the last 9 years, but Paolino appointed MG and there is no way he was qualified to do the job IMHO.

BumbleGod. Not sure if its Rose or Bob or both. You created the Mike G. Travesty. When FDG wanted to dump him you stamped your feet and pitched a fit. Still covering for a total fiasco who costs the town plenty. You should follow MG and resign.

EXACTLY! Nothing changes but the DEM taxes go up. Every month another 250 DSS cases move into this County from NYC. Next year the REPS have to get it together and take it back. It may already be too late. You wanted working together DEM implosion and you got it where the sun don't shine.

I saw a politican cartoon that sums this country up pretty well. It showed a voter looking at 2 tunnels one labeled Rep and one labeled Dem.The tunnels came together out of sight and entered a door labeled slaughter house. Two separate paths same result.

Watering ban lifted in Rotterdam
Published 09:06 a.m., Monday, July 16, 2012

ROTTERDAM - The town has lifted a watering ban brought about by this month's dry conditions.

Town officials said residents and businesses should now adhere to the rule for seasonal sprinkler regulation that allows watering on alternating days based on odd- and even- number street addresses.
