Quoted Text
The mother of the child says her neighbor was getting her two children out of the car, when the vehicle supposedly put itself into gear and began rolling down the street toward the church building with the 5-year-old boy still inside.
The vehicle rolled down the street, narrowly missing the intersection of Mason and Avenue A, and onto the railing of the stairway outside the Everlasting Life Church of God in Christ.
Authorities say no charges will be filed, as it is purely a vehicle issue. They say it seems that when the little boy bent over to pick up his sock, he may have knocked the car into neutral or drive. Schenectady police say the incident was an accident and the keys were not in the ignition.
Neighbors helped removed the Honda Passport for the steps and the mother rushed her young boy to the hospital where he was treated for a bump on the head.
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
