ALBANY — Trash and recycling will be picked up as scheduled Wednesday in the city, despite the July 4th holiday, Department of General Services Commissioner Nicholas D'Antonio said.
Residents of streets that would normally have their trash picked up Wednesday should put it out Tuesday evening as they would in any ordinary week, D'Antonio said.
Our private collectors in town will work, and if they don't they will move pick up to Saturday.
What does Schenectady do? Increase taxes and cut services In Schenectady city, taxpayers do NOT receive a full year's trash pick up in return for paying twice for trash pick up---1. Pay through "tax" (based on assessed value of their homes) PLUS pay through a "fee" which increases every year.
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
