Home sales will boost CDTA pay Contract extension gives employees raises if economy improves

Employees at the Capital District Transportation Authority are hoping you will sell, buy or refinance a home.
CDTA workers agreed to a contract extension that will provide raises if the economy grows. Since CDTA receives some of its funding from the mortgage tax,
home sales will affect whether bus drivers, maintenance workers and other employees see their income rise.
"They have the opportunity to get a raise," said Steven Green, president of the Amalgamated Transit Union local. "If CDTA gets the funding, we get it."
