A free ride is exactly what Cic is promoting.

No Box, just the opposite, you are promoting that.  You are just deciding who gets the 'free ride' and who pays for the 'free ride'. Then to boot, in your fascist way, you force them to give their money to corporate for-profit insurance companies that provide the 'free ride'.  Which in turn, those profits will end up back in the campaign coffers of the politicians that were able to make it all possible.

Box, I told you months ago you were a totalitarian fascist and not a socialist...You were just slow to realize it.

Cicero, like many Right Wing Radicals, spout words that have power, but often don't have any idea of what
those words mean.  Nazi, Communist, Socialist and now Cicero's favorite word... "FASCIST".

Here is the definition (minus the pronunciation) exactly as it appears in Dictionary.com

fascist
noun
1. a person who believes in or sympathizes with fascism.
2.( often initial capital letter ) a member of a fascist movement or party.
3.a person who is dictatorial or has extreme right-wing views.

dictatorial
1. of or pertaining to a dictator  or dictatorship.
2.appropriate to, or characteristic of, a dictator;  absolute; unlimited: dictatorial powers in wartime.
3.inclined to dictate or command; imperious; overbearing: a dictatorial attitude.

According to Cicero, I'm an EXTREME RIGHT WINGER, WHO PROMOTES A DICTATORSHIP FORM OF GOVT.

Sorry Cic... I'm a democracy guy all the way and about as far as you can get from an EXTREMIST RIGHT
WING "FASCIST"

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Man, no matter how many times I ask Box to do some research, he comes back with with simplistic definitions.  I like that he's a "democracy guy",yet has no problem with the President executing American citizens.  I guess that's because the dictator has the power to assassinate when democratically elected.  Maybe I should add "Thou shalt not murder, except by majority vote".

The fascist government approved pursuit of private profit and gave significant concessions to large corporations, requiring instead that all of their economic activities serve the public interest

As an economic system, fascism is socialism with a capitalistic veneer.  In its day (the 1920's and 1930's), fascism was seen as the happy medium between boom-and-bust-prone capitalism, with its alleged class conflict, wasteful competition, and profit-oriented egoism, and Marxism, with its violent socially divisive prosecution of the bourgeoisie.

Where socialism abolished all market relations outright, fascism left the appearance of market relations while planning all economic activities.  Where socialism abolished money and prices; fascism controlled the monetary system and set all prices and wages politically.

Under fascism, the state, through official agencies, controlled all aspects of manufacturing, commerce, finance, and agriculture.  Licensing was ubiquitous; no economic activity could be undertaken without government permission.  Levels of consumption were dictated by the state, and "excess" incomes had to be surrendered as taxes or "loans".

To maintain high employment and minimize popular discontent, fascist governments also undertook massive public-works programs financed by steep taxes, borrowing and fiat money creation.

The term "fascism" has been redefined by the horrendous acts of Mussolini and Hitler, actions spurred by their megalomania and nationalism.  However, the economic philosophy that is fascism is alive and well and being pursued in the United States by those whose desire it is to control the people of the country and reinforce their domestic power base, not to conquer the world.  Yet the pursuit of the same tenets that motivated Franklin Roosevelt has prolonged and exacerbated the current economic disaster facing the United States.

My definition of Fascist was from Dictionary.com...
Cicero's definition of Fascist originated at "The American Thinker"... (American Thinker is a daily conservative
online magazine)

If all you read is Conservative Propaganda... all you will know is Conservative Propaganda.

Cic can stick to his "Conservative version" of the word "fascist"...

I will stick with the dictionary definition, (the definition that the rest of the world uses)
"3.a person who is dictatorial or has extreme right-wing views"

"EXTREME RIGHT WING VIEWS", huh.  Sounds like Cicero.

I'll leave it up to the reader whether they think the term "Extreme Right Wing Views" would apply
more to Cicero or to me.

Well, if the FEDERAL government is trying to do it, and it isn't in the US Constitution, IT IS ILLEGAL!!!  That's WHY the Constitution is there.  To LIMIT the power of the FEDERAL government.

Of course you will.  It is much easier than researching and thinking.  Your mind can only handle a ten word Webster Dictionary definition to describe a complex political/economic system.

For the rest that have the capability of critical thinking watch the following video.  "As We Go Marching"  by John T Flynn.

Quoted Text
John T Flynn:
Although Flynn graduated from Georgetown Law School, he chose a career in journalism. He started at the New Haven Register, but eventually moved to New York; there he was financial editor of the New York Globe. During the 1920s and 1930s, he wrote articles for such leading publications as The New Republic, Harper's Magazine, and Collier's Weekly. He became one of the best-known political commentators in the United States. Like Oswald Garrison Villard, another key figure in the Old Right, Flynn was a leftist with populist inclinations during this period. He supported Franklin D. Roosevelt for president but criticized the New Deal. In 1939, he predicted that Social Security would be under water by 1970, and insolvent by 1980.[1]

Obamacare's Hideous History, Recounted
By QUIN HILLYER on 7.3.12 @ 6:10AM

This law remains utterly illegitimate.

Amid John Roberts' craven surrender to "the political branches" on Obamacare -- a bizarre capitulation, at that, since Roberts honored a statute that he hallucinated, but neither Congress nor the president authored nor authorized -- Americans should remember just how many rules, standards, and traditions had to be twisted or bulldozed in order for the [un]Affordable Care Act to become law.
For Obamacare to be enacted in the first place required each of more than a dozen, highly unlikely or even suspect, occurrences or actions. It then took some serious constitutional hocus pocus for it to survive in court. Consider the awful litany: ............>>>>.......................>>>>.................http://spectator.org/archives/2012/07/03/obamacares-hideous-history-rec

LMAO!

It's all a vast Left Wing Conspiracy!!!

The Rabid Right can't stand it that Obama was elected, but worse, that he is a successful president even under
extremely difficult times... and that he will be reelected in November.

John Roberts was the Poster child for the Right... now all of a sudden Roberts is "hallucinating" because he
sided with ObamaCare.  IMO Roberts was "hallucinating" when he backed Citizens United.

By what you post here Cicero, you have no feelings for anyone except yourself.
" I got mine... Screw everyone else.

I work for a bunch of folk that have BUSTED THEIR A$$ES all their lives to save their $$ and become top of middle class...
YET...they like to 'use their benefits'.....so you tell me box....WHERE DO YOU DRAW THE LINE?
WHEN IS ENOUGH, ENOUGH? after you die and stop paying for your neighbor? no really....show me the $$ trail to the
scales and enlighten me.....

give your neighbor a casserole
pay their heat bill
pay their medical bill
buy their groceries
watch their kids so they can work overtime

go ahead tell me when enough is enough....because this proposal WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH....and the government
will degrade it to it's lowest form of treatment....it NEVER brings anyone up...it bends the branches down...what
happens when that fruit is enough? are you ready to put a carrier on your back and hoist their a** up the tree...
it's how life happens....

I'm glad you mentioned PAY THEIR MEDICAL BILLS, Senders...
The Tax/Penalty in ObamaCare was proposed by the Republicans to prevent Free Loaders who can buy
insurance, but don't.  When they are seriously injured or sick, THE TAXPAYERS PAY THEIR MEDICAL BILLS.

IF you are against paying for these Free Loaders... then support the Tax/Penalty that will keep the rest of
us from being FORCED to pay their medical bills.

Box what about the people who had good health-care that was provided by their employer that are going to lose their health-care  and be dumped into one of the state provided ones that they will then have to pay for.Is that a fair way to treat a person who has worked all their lives and were promised health-care for life when they retired to now have to pay for health-care without any compensation?

From Factcheck.org:

If you like your plan, you can keep your plan.

Obama has repeatedly made this claim, and it’s true for the most part. But not for everyone.
Employers could still drop coverage under the bill — just as they can now — and, in fact,
the CBO estimates that some would. Under the Senate bill, the CBO said that 8 million to 9 million
people who would be expected to have employer-sponsored insurance under current law wouldn’t
be offered such benefits by 2019. These would mainly be low-income workers, CBO said, who
would be eligible for subsidies to buy their own plans. Others would gain coverage through their
jobs under the bill, resulting in a net decrease of 4 million people on employer-sponsored insurance.
