GB If you mean calling you on your inaccurate statements then yeah that's harassment.

Most if not all the issues yoyu talk about have been dealt with.  No one said it was a few bad apples, just that it was dealt with.

And, if you don't want people to repond like I do, don't act like a child, be vulgar, or tell lies.  You don't see me getting into it over these issues with people like Christine, benny, rachel.  I can argue with them all day long and they keep the argument civil and intelligent. Regardless of how I disgree with them.

"A few bad apples". First off, that statement is hilarious. The only time you ever hear of a job action taken against an SPD oficer, is when they are exposed by the media.

"A few bad apples"? So what do you call the rest of the "apples" who turn a blind eye, or who are in varying degrees complicit?
If they allow that crap to happen right under their nose, they are either blind, stupid, or incompetent, OR let's call a spade a spade, "bad apples" themselves.

So basically, you don't have any "good apples".

The best idea I've heard in recent memory was to disband the Schenectady Police Department
Having a police department that fails at that many levels, is worse than having no police department at all.

The FBI found that they are unable to police themselves.

But it is still allowed.

When did the FBI report that?  Seems odd, given the fact FBI has partnered with FBI on last two gang roundups.

Tommy - many of the incidents of wrongdoing were reported in teh press after PD had alreadt initiated action.  Media knew nothing about use of foce investigation consequent to incient at McDonalds, many of the domestic incidents did not culminate immediiately in arrests so media did not find out until PD
had made arrests. Your assertions are inaccurate.

Scdy Gazette made that same claim - only way to fix PD was disband, thirteen terminations later, proves they and you were wrong.

The fact that they had to fire (and it took quite an effort to do so) 13 cops, isn't exactly what I would call a recommendation.

That's like saying "come to our hospital, we just fired 13 of our surgeons that had no business being doctors in the first place".
Or come eat at our restaurant, we just fired a bunch of guys who were spitting in the food.
Have your car serviced here. That guy who used to get drunk and forget to put the lug nuts back on? Yeah, we fired him.

Well, we all feel better now.

I remember Krasiweski (or what ever the fired cops name was) coming onto my street and being a hardass with a landscaper who parked his trailer (correctly by the way) while he was working. He was all fired up about having it towed away because it was there " all week." Of course in his rage-clouded mind because he drove by a few days during his shift and saw it there (the landscaper worked from 7am until dark everyday to do this job) each day it "had to be abandoned." I remember how utterly disrespectful this "man" was to me while I talked him down off his hateful tirade. He finally relented as I was gentle and reasoning. It left me with quite an impression of the professionality of the force, or lack thereof. That as*clown was just looking to bust someone's stones and he didn't even have a law to back him up- he was just all blind rage against this landscaper and his trailer!! When he bit the dust I was so surprised. Not!

Of course there was no crime to deal with in the city, it is just so peaceful.

As to you, "visitor"...
Just being here to harass the citizens ON THEIR BOARD - ON THE CITIZEN'S BOARD- as you come her to monitor and record and intimidate us- THAT IS WHY PEOPLE HATE YOU, EVEN PEOPLE WHO USED TO BACK YOU UP. Because, "visitor" you are a heavyhanded punk, a thug and a tyrant who thinks he is going to push people around and shut them the hell up, and get paid to do it.

When you have lost the trust of the citizenry you have lost it all. Keep circling your wagons and making alliances with crooked pols, it is all you have left.

The whole lot of your breed need mental evaluation because most of you are not fit to have a badge because you are bullies. Bullies who got picked on when you were little and now you are all cop-powered up, you think it is OK to come here and monitor US and bust OUR BALLS. Not like the helpful and compassionate policemen of yesterday, no. You are the 'hotdogs' that the old guys know all too well. I know all about you. The old timers are only too fast to complain about you and your lack of decency and your greed.

You want to "watch" the citizens here? Guess what, you are being watched too, by much more professional agencies than you will ever imagine. Plus, the PEOPLE are watching you, and we don't trust you.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Reading this thread made me somewhat happy, despite all our differences and personal hatred's pretty much everyone can come together on this board and state that the Schenectady PD is a bunch of corrupt assholes that shouldn't be trusted to clean the city's toilets, let alone the streets. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that these new cameras magically break when the police are accused of something. If we want to keep Schenectady safe we should start off by locking up the police officers!!!

Only an insane and immoral nayboob would accuse our uniformed men and women of being corrupt.  It is indeed a FACT that these wonderful young people place their lives on the line each and every day keep us and our elderly relatives, the handicapped, and the children SAFE.  Law enforcement is THE most dangerous line of work ANYWHERE -- NOT supporting First Responders in every way possible and not building their morale UP -- is doing the exact opposite-- it is tearing their morale DOWN..  I say that anyone who does not FULLY support our officers should be hauled away to the loony bin as soon as possible.

Stop it with your Pollyanna horsesh*t already.
Being a cop isn't even in the TOP 25 most dangerous professions.
Last year, less than 90 cops died in the line of duty IN THE WHOLE COUNTRY.

20 times that died in factories, on construction projects, on farms etc, today alone, yet I saw no press conferences, and heard no bagpipes.

Last week, a Schenectady roofer fell to his death, while working to support his family.
I heard no bagpipes, saw no bake sales, and heard of no college funds to make sure his kids could still go to college, and the guy most likely didn't have anywhere near the death benefits that cops have.

If you actually believe what you say, and are not just trolling, then I have reason to believe you are in the tertiary stage of some type of wasting neurological disease that is effecting your brain.
Probably syphilis.

A cop got hurt at work? Boo Hoo. What did he think he was signing up for?

Glry/DV is what is known as a sycophant for the political class, and especially anyone controlling a voting bloc or party line.

True I wouldn't last a month as a corrupt cop taking advantage of my position in a corrupt organization. Even my twisted morals wouldn't allow that..

So, we are supposed to support the police when they use drugs?

So, we are supposed to support the police when they drive while intoxicated?

So, we are supposed to support the police when they when they are on duty and spend that time watching their kid bowl?

So, we are supposed to support the police when they are on duty on 4 hours OT but are spending time at some apartment in the wee hours of the morning?

So, we are supposed to support the police when they are on a bus throwing eggs at the cars passing by, etc?

So, we are supposed to support the police when they steal from the evidence locker?

So, we are supposed to support the police when they hang out at bars and beat up women?

So, we are supposed to support the police when they beat up a wife or girlfriend?

Well??????

Tell us Glry, is this what the taxpayers are supposed to support and pay for while the children of the taxpayers are getting shot on playgrounds?

Well?????

Of course Glry is TOO BIG A CHICKEN  to respond yes or no to each of those questions above !!!!!!!!!

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
