"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
Gotta say that the last couple of articles posted here that were penned by Mason were above average.....for the gazetto any way! He should break loose from the cheerleaders....imho

True. I find Justin Mason to be the glimmer of light in the otherwise darkness that is the pages of the People's Gazette. Wish there was another way to read his reporting.

But he didn't want to TOUCH the fact that Harry Buffardi is a serial tax delinquent. If HB were a repub, it would have been first page news! Ditto for the scam that the senior center pulled when they ONLY had democraps come to the "forum," then told the oldsters that the GOP and DelGallo "refused" to attend!!! THAT wasn't newsworthy when the GOP cried foul. Might have made his democraps look bad. I will say this for the Gazette- they have NO sense of moral responsibility in seeing any form of democracy because they are blatant statists and endorse full one-party rule here and everywhere. That attitude filters down to the lowest reporters. They don't know exactly what happens to the press in a dictatorship because they are woefully uninformed about history and reality.

I said that Mason penned a good article.......never said he wasn't bias!!! That is one of the prerequisites for gazetto employment.

I'm surprised anyone still reads the gazette or any non internet news source for that matter, it's outdated by the time you get it. Why not get your info from the Times Union website for free and avoid getting yourself all worked. Just saying, the only people I even know that read the Gazette are the people on here who complain about it, lol in a way your keeping it alive
"Schenectady County Democrat Madelyn Thorne has begun circulating petitions to challenge state Sen. Hugh Farley, R-Niskayuna, in the 49th Senate District this fall.
Thorne, director of pastoral care for the Schenectady County Glendale Home, has begun collecting signatures to appear on the Democratic line, according to Schenectady County Democratic Chairman Brian Quail.
"She is in it to win it," he said. "I expect a multi-county announcement tour shortly."
The 49th Senate District includes parts of Schenectady and Saratoga counties and all of Fulton County. It has been reshaped as the result of redistricting, ceding about half of Schenectady County to a new Capital Region district that stretches down to Ulster County.
In the previous version of this district in 2010, Farley handily defeated Schenectady County Legislature Chairwoman Susan Savage. The voter enrollment in this district heavily favors a Republican candidate."
Another county employee being forced to run or lose their job? And if she does run, then there shall be a little raise next year. Hint to Gazette reporter: check the budget lines and see what happens in October as a result of quid pro quo. That would be real gumshoe work.

Actually I've read the Gazette since I started delivering it as a kid 50 years ago...........I like the idea of holding a piece of newsprint in my hands.........tried the TU, but just don't like the layout............when I was in the Army in Germany my sister got a subscription for me (that did piss off the mail guys though, 'cause they'd arrive 4 or 5 at a time).....................am I looking for insightful reporting or anything like that from the Gazette? nah.........it's just something I've always had......if you're on an older computer (like the one I'm on right now) the TU website takes forever to load completely, they have more .swf, video and other resource hogs operating there than I've ever seen.............since I have a 'zette subscription it includes full web access which is nice when the lowlife white trash scumbag who lives in my building thieves my paper (I'm surprised the a**hole can read) once again though I don't expect to read much real insightful reporting there either......................my friend Marc is a photog for the gazette, and I'm acquainted with some of the arts writers too..........my name has appeared it the 'zette a number of times, starting when I was a junior in HS and Marv Cermack mentioned me in his column (he did sports back then), there've been several articles written about me and my bandmates over the years................Marc once needed a photo and ran across me on a ladder painting a house in the GE plot and it appeared on the front page of the local section.......so ...........so I guess what I'm saying, is the Gazette is sorta like an old pair of slippers......worn out and not of much use anymore, but still comfortable to have around..........if I'm looking for real news I'll look elsewhere
