Traffic stop yields Leandra’s Law arrest

#State police on Thursday, May 31, at approximately 10:39 p.m., stopped a vehicle for speeding, allegedly traveling 97 mph in a 65 mph speed limit, which led to a Leandra’s Law arrest of a Schenectady man.

#Police said after stopping the vehicle, the driver, 29-year-old Raul Cruz, was found to have allegedly used marijuana. Field testing determined that he was impaired, according to police.

#Cruz was arrested, and he was charged with driving while ability impaired while having a 6-year-old passenger in the vehicle.
