I pay property taxes it's THEIR job to maintain the city.  Let some of the city workers who are being paid with our tax dollars volunteer if they want to.

There are many communities where residents VOLUNTEER in a variety of capacities --- residents VOLUNTEER to plant and maintain the Rose Garden in Central Park -- residents VOLUNTEER to coach and assist in youth sports programs like Little League.

You are NOT true conservative because you (like most libertarian/Ron Paul supporters) are a bunch of self-absorbed, ignorant, never matured past junior high hippies from the 60's living in some fantasy world where you are the center of the universe.

Dv, you really need an education.   Leave it to a roughly 50 year old mama's boy who does NOT own property, does NOT pay taxes, has NEVER owned a home NOR EVER paid taxes to attempt to claim  a parent volunteering in a PRIVATE concern in the life of their children as being the same thing as a city government service.

DV, Little League is NOT a government service that needs volunteers because the government's budget is tight!    Ditto Pop Warner, Babe Ruth, youth bolwing, etc.    These are ALL PRIVATE CONCERNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since you have never been a parent NOR a homeowner/taxpayer, let me educate you.   The people in the city have their OWN properties to maintain!!!!!!!!    Homeowners are trying to raise their children at a time when they are forced to take on two jobs in order to pay the property tax bills of the millionaires downtown.   It is NOT, and I repeat NOT, and I repeat NOT, and I repeat NOT the responsibility of the residents of the city to perform services that the city is supposed to provide!!!!!!!

...s living in some fantasy world where you are the center of the universe.

DV, get it through your piss ant brain of yours.   People in the city and RP are not thinking they are the center of the universe, etc.   People would LOVE to do more, but they have NO TIME!!!!!!!!!

I mean REALLY DV, you are really expecting that people in the city should volunteer to perform services for the city???   That is IN ADDITION to paying almost the highest taxes in the country?????

And then you think that the people in the city, after working two jobs, perhaps 60 to 80 hours per week (just to pay the taxes of the millionaires downtown and provide expensive cars for city employees to take daily pleasure drives far outside the city) and trying to raise their families, you think they should volunteer to clean up city hall????
When, DV??????    The people in the city have no time to volunteer to clean city property, not when they have to spend time cleaning their own.

DV, would you be willing to say that the mayor, the councilmembers, the department heads should go out there and clean it on their own time and without pay?   How about if the Mallozzi family do the work without pay?????    How about Philip Morris of Proctors do it---I mean really DV, Morris is STEALING from the taxpayers by getting two STAR exemptions.   Oh yeah, that's right, you don't know what a STAR exemption is.

Message to MikeChristine -- you can post all of the nasty comments that you like -- I don't read them .. never will.

If you want to be a part of the SOLUTION and help BUILD UP your community get off your lazy, hate-filled, lying butt and VOLUNTEER to do something constructive.  Otherwise,  enjoy being on permanent ignore.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

We DO volunteer....for MANY things.    But the things we pay taxes for are to be done by the people who are paid to do the work!!    It is NOT the responsibility of the taxpayers to perform the work that we pay taxes to have done.

Of course, as you are not and have never been a taxpayers, you have absolutely no clue whatsoever about the financial burdens of taxes, especially for those in the city who are losing services, their home values are plummeting, their taxes are no stop increasing, then the homeowners are expected to pay the property taxes of the millionaires and politically connected downtown, and then the homeowners are expected to "volunteer" to do the work that they pay the city for?

You REALLY have no clue.

Yeah, where were YOU last year and where were your buddy dems and the downtown millionaires during the almost week long Concern for the Hungry prep for Thanksgiving, huh??????

Well?????

Explain why overtaxed homeowoners working two jobs should do the volunteer work, huh??????\\

Should the tax exempt millionaires downtown do the volunteer work in return for being tax exempt?

Hey, in return for the TENS OF MILLIONS OF TAXPAYER DOLLARS, tell us why wasn't Philip Morris volunteering to do the yard work at city hall????    Huh????

Oh yeah, you won't answer because it's much too embarrasing to admit that the millionaires just keep suckng the blood out of the homeowners and give NOTHING in return to the taxpayers except plummeting property values and skyrocketing taxes.

Keep saying I'm on ignore, that's your lame excuse for you being too chicken to answer my questions.

By the way, anything to comment about last year's democratic line in the primary?????

He wanted to, but he couldn't find anyone willing to PAY for the privilege of volunteering at City Hall.

You know, this isn't an area unknown to the Mayor....come on, the guy 'allegedly' enters City Hall five days a week to do his $200K job (pension included). Maybe someone can Skype him a picture of the weeds before he tees off at the golf course.

This is how you can tell a leader from a chump.

Someone like Neil Golub would have heads rolling if he went to his headquarters and saw 3 foot high weeds...let alone have the general public COMPLAINING about it. The problem would never happen again.

All McCarthy can do is call a Council meeting to order....he can't even get a City worker to come and do their job. Yeah...that's power.
