A Schenectady man is accused of passing counterfeit $10 bills in Scotia.
The investigation started when police said the 'funny money' was used by John Carpenter at Jumpin' Jacks.
Investigators said they seized evidence linking him to the crime, and said they think he made and passed up to 40 fake $10 bills in the area since April.
