” said Susan Savage, Chairwoman of the Schenectady County Legislature. “These agreements have allowed many of our local businesses to grow while attracting new investments and jobs that are benefiting our local taxpayers.”
Benefiting the taxpayers??????
How?
How do the taxpayers benefit when the result has been a DRASTIC REDUCTION in the tax base?
How do the taxpayers benefit when homeowners have seen their property values tumble by a third or more?
How do the taxpayers benefit from the resulting increase in crime?
How do the taxpayers benefit from the increasing unemployment?
How do the taxpayers benefit when they have no choice in where to send their children to school, and the one lone school system fails miserably?
How do the taxpayers benefit when the number of abandoned or vacant houses is increasing?
How do the taxpayers benefit from paying almost the highest taxes in the whole country?
Perhaps DV can go ask his dem savage girlfriend how the taxpayers are benefiting from these things?
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

I highlighted just 2 for clarification purposes only..............does this mean that this is Villa's and Bomber's FIRST payment......or is this what they have paid since they 'moved in'? And can't this be re-negotiated by metroplex if they deemed it necessary...........such as extending their pilot?
And where is this money going? The city is in a hole............how's that?

It really doesn't matter.
The profit and loss statement for Metroplex will show it takes 8 million dollars for each million returned as taxes.

Oh yes it does matter. If we are trying to 'educate' the populous.....we need to present the FACTS!

Metroplex has the authority to give exemptions or take them away any time they wish.
They can also refinance the existing loans to a further date at any time.
They can disburse additional grants at any time as well.
"MVP at 625 State Street in downtown Schenectady. 175,000 square foot office building paying $256,569 with Pilot increasing to $700,000. "
They'll be packing up when this bill comes due.
Also, Villia Itallia (assessed at 815K) pays less than a building assessed at $681K ...that would be Cornells. Maybe that's why Cornells went bankrupt. Also, Villia Itallia pays $1 for the 40 x 132 vacant lot assessed at 18,900. Guess that was just thrown in by Gillen.
What a puff piece by Gillen and McCheesy. Too bad none of the numbers indicate who's paying, or how much they've paid on their interest free Plex loans or how much grant money was given to bribe these businesses in the first place.
Guess Gillen IS afraid of the State coming in. Write all the fiction you want, the State can smell the BS a mile away!!!!!
