This is more good news that the City is moving forward and by reaching out to prospective home buyers -- the Administration, the Mayor and even the venerable Police Department have OVERSHOT their goals in this regard..   Hooray for Schenectady!

As to Mayor McCarthy -- the "Comeback Kid" --- I wish to dedicate this number -

"AND THE RENAISSANCE KEEPS ROLLING ALONG!"

set to the tune of the heroic Caisson Song!

Town of Rotterdam planning board official gets his jollies telling lies and posting fairy tales on these boards.

They also fail to mention exactly 'what' loans are classified as 'risky'. And they also fail to mention how many of the folks who have applied for these loans, will be required to seek 'financial guidance' when and if the loan is approved.

It would also be interesting to see the REAL STATS of how many of these homes that are/were under contract have ACTUALLY been closed on! AND what was the median income of these folks who are actually WANTING to move to the city? How many had kids that will be attending the sub-standard schenectady city schools? Where do they work? Where are they moving from?

It's a money grab for the realestate companies.............they receive their commission on a sale.... with no risk to them since they get their money right up front!!!

Nothing more than a 'fluff' piece of journalism......as usual! No teeth to the article AT ALL!! NO investigative reporting. Just reporting what they are told/faxed/emailed. Moore/gazetto is good at that!

Fortunately, Bumble, while can be tedious, some of the info is available.

Of course, since it seems like McC has put a halt to the Gazette reporting real estate transfer in the paper (I haven't even seen any for outside the city), it makes it a little more tedious.

But the information is still available and it may take a little longer time.

Still can't get the income info, nor whether they are risky, unless there is some indicator in the mortgage document (which by law is public knowledge), the deeds are also public knowledge, and the combination of the two provides answers.

The deed provides the amount that the house sold for.   The mortgage document can give you an indicator or whether there was a down payment, generally speaking.   I mean, if the deed ways a house sold for $100,000 and the mortgage is for $80,000, then obviously the person probably put $20,000 down (unknown whether it's their own money, taxpayer handout money, or money from a relative)   If the mortgage exceeds the sale price by $30,000 for example, then you can pretty much figure it's one of those McC deals.

Also, keep in mind that not all houses for sale are part of the "key to the city" program.   But many of us have the intelligence to watch this stuff.

These documents mentioned above, also will provide indication of whether someone lived outside the city because their address will be listed.   The sales listed in the paper always list where the buyer lived (but like I said, it seems like McC put a halt to sales of any houses anywhere in any county from being listed in the paper, again, I may be wrong, but I haven't seen anything in quite a while).

Now watch, McC will conspire with the dems in the county to remove online access on the county site

even if the contracts are accepted doesn't make for a payment, upkeep, tax collection etc......

just because you buy a house doesn't mean you can run it

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

When your taxes are $600 a month(and rising with no end in sight) for a house worth maybe $70,000, then you will know how lucky you are to be the Girl City in the Girl Nation:

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

As predicted by 99% here the City house selling scheme of McCheese and his DEM stooges is a total and complete flop. No one wants to buy nuthin in the DEM Vampire City. Got high taxes? Everything these DEM incompetents do accelerates their free fall. Next a large dog tax and ban on City door to door solicitations. Major issues from a crew that can't balance anything and projected revenues $10 MILLION above reality. Layoffs-NO! End City vehicle abuse-NO! End cell phone abuse-NO! Reassess to current market values-NO! Tax cut to fill 1,000 abandoned properties-NO! Hire more animal control officers-anything but that! At least Nero fiddled.

It would be interesting to see the results of a cross referencing of the Key to the City open house homes on the tour. with the designated streets to be paved this spring/summer.   If a match-a coincidence?

Match Key to City recipients to tax sale foreclosures. Another Barney's Frank housing scam. Prop up crappy City sales numbers by funding ineligible buyers. The Attorney General should investigate this latest McCheese scandal. Only the Schenectady Syndrome dupes would elect this partisan dufus. Anyone that endorsed him should be run out of town on a rail.

Very interesting thought.   Wasn't there a list of streets to be done that was posted somewhere on these boards?

Just remember, most of us have the intelligence to know who to find out these things. We know how to look things up, get official records, do the math, etc.

Then there is the one person who posts under many names, has no intelligence and just keeps posting that the city is improving but NEVER provides any facts, figures or evidence whatsoever.

So, have you got any numbers yet?    It's been several days since you claimed they overshot their goal.  But you refuse to provide EVIDENCE.

Yep, Glryinthhighest aka DV, aka Ham, aka VM, etc, are you having an orga*m posting lies?   Does it really feel good?

Nice to be a town official unable to present facts and evidence, huh?

So, what houses are under contract?

By the way, more houses on McC's program have just been given price MORE asking price reductions.

Care to provide the details as to HOW you arrive at stating they "overshot" their goals in this regard?????

ALL the FACTS have PROVED BEYOND ANY DOUBT, that it is failing miserably.   And I DEFY you to provide ANY statements that support what you said!!!!!!!

.

Well, Glry?     Two weeks and you STILL HAVE NOT PROVIDED ONE TEENY WEENY SHRED OF EVIDENCE to support YOUR statement on HOW they "overshot" their goals.

Well?????

What numbers do you have?   Huh????    Well??????      well?????

You can't provide any numbers to prove your comment, huh, so you won't respond!

Economists are saying to hold off on buying a home. They predict that home values will fall even further....making it a 'real buyers market'..............HOWEVER...............a high taxed property owner's nightmare!!
