Motorcyclist killed in Schenectady crash

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- A motorcyclist is dead after a crash in Schenectady. It happened shortly after midnight on Broadway near Congress Street in the city.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and no one else was hurt.

Police are withholding the name of the victim at this time. Officers are still looking into what caused the crash.

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - Police in Schenectady say they are investigating a fatal single-vehicle motorcycle accident that occurred early Thursday morning.

Police say the victim, 45-year-old Brian Viscusi of Schenectady, was traveling south on Broadway when his motorcycle left the roadway and struck the side of 1491 Broadway around 12:15 a.m. Thursday.

The cause of the investigation is continuing and an autopsy is scheduled for later in the day.

Police have released no further details at this time.
