Let me just fill you in on something..... City/County/State government is not meant to fund everything. If you would like that, please feel free to enter a Socialist or Communist Country. When City government throws taxpayer money around without restraint, you can end up with a $5 million dollar deficit.

"Unfounded" ???? Schenectady = government (taxpayer funded): gin bills/bars/drinking establishments, bakeries, restaurants, theaters, catering halls, hotels, appliance store, gym, office buildings, garages, parking lots, student housing, hair salon, to name a few
The above paid for with mostly with taxpayer money, and now mostly totally tax exempt.

Saratoga County is still Republican, but the city has tilted toward the Democrats. But again, politics has nothing to do with this.

Since the past 8 years have been exclusively Dem in the city, and since the TAXABLE tax base in the city has gone DOWN, and since the tax BILLS in the city have gone UP, and since the home values in the city have gone WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY down, and since virtually no houses in the city are selling because no one wants to buy a house in the city, and since the city, and since struggling homeowners are going to lose their homes---UNDER THE DEMS now has a $5 million deficit, would you care to explain how the Republicans are at fault?
The DEMS are the ones that gave out the 100% tax exemptions to the downtown wealthy and politically connected, thus making the financially struggling homeowners pay the tax bills of the millionaires, explain how the Reps were at fault?

Speaking of which, for the first time in Rotterdam the grand marshals will not be vets, which is a slap in the face to the meaning of the parade.
